Veterans for Peace: Daniel Shays Chapter-186

Veterans for Peace: Daniel Shays Chapter-186 Veterans and Supporters What is Veterans For Peace? Veterans For Peace is a national organization founded in 1985. Members receive periodic VFP publications.

It is structured around a national office in Saint Louis, MO and comprised of members across the country organized in chapters or as at-large members. There is an annual convention each year attended by our members, families and supporters from across the nation. The organization includes men and women veterans of all eras and duty stations spanning the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), World War II, t

he Korean, Vietnam, Gulf and current Iraq wars as well as other conflicts. Our collective experience tells us wars are easy to start and hard to stop and that those hurt are often the innocent. Thus, other means of problem solving are necessary. Whether or not you wish to participate in chapter activities, please consider becoming a Veterans For Peace member. As an organization, we are what our members make us. You can be part of that effort. Help us put an end to war. We draw on our personal experiences and perspectives gained as veterans to raise public awareness of the true costs and consequences of militarism and war - and to seek peaceful, effective alternatives

The DEEP DIVE Spotlight: Dr Robert Wespiser 🌊

When it comes to the safety of our community, Dr. Robert Wespiser doesn't pull punches. As a member of Tri Town Health Dept, the Lee Board of Health, and former Chief of Staff at Berkshire Medical Center (BMC), he brings decades of medical expertise to the fight against PCB contamination.

I am proud to announce that Dr. Wespiser will be sharing his critical insights at the Veterans For Peace "Deep Dive" Water Summit.
Dr. Wespiser has been a leading voice highlighting the severe health risks and the need for comprehensive health testing - to uncover the true impact of GE’s industrial toxins and the proposed PCB dump.

He knows that the "Rest of the River Agreement" isn't just an environmental issue—it’s a public health crisis.

A "DEEP DIVE" Spotlight: Robert Jones 🌊

When the "Rest of the River" agreement is on the table, Robert Jones doesn’t just sit at the Lee Selectboard—he stands up for the entire community.

As a Lee Select Board member, Robert has been a fierce, unwavering voice against the status quo, demanding real accountability and a cleaner future for our waters. Now, he’s bringing that same fire to the stage.

We are honored to announce Robert Jones as a featured speaker at the Veterans for Peace "Deep Dive" Water Summit, joining keynote speaker Chris Hedges for a raw, necessary dialogue on environmental health and justice.
