“The benefits of being a MACA member go beyond just coming to meetings. You can’t really learn about it unless you’re participating. Get engaged, get involved — because the more you take part, the more you gain.” – Rodney Schmidt, MACA Executive Director

From monthly Lunch & Learns and water updates to the Developing Professionals Program, Young Leader Scholarship, and Ag Academy, it all comes down to connection and growth, and that is exactly what 2025 has been: a year of connection and growth!

We invite you to join us in 2026, and look forward to sharing all MACA has to offer!

For more than 20 years, Eric Sfiligoj, editor of CropLife Magazine with Meister Media Worldwide, has been a proud partner and supporter of MACA.
Eric first attended a MACA meeting in 2003, stepping in to cover the event for the magazine. A few years later, he began writing stories and newsletter pieces for MACA. The relationship continues today, more than two decades later.

“It’s always great to see the knowledgeable, friendly faces each year. This group feels like an extended family, a tight-knit network that’s incredibly valuable for anyone in the industry.”

We’re grateful for Eric and CrCropLife Magazine long-standing partnership and commitment to sharing the stories that strengthen our industry.

As MACA’s Water Consultant and part of the Missouri Agribusiness Association, Andrea Rice plays a key role in keeping members informed about emerging water and ag policy issues across the region.

“We really try to work proactively instead of being reactive to legislation. It’s about helping retailers, ag companies, and the entire industry maintain a positive experience for both the ag community and the consumers we serve through food, fiber, and fuel.”

Through panels, discussions, and monthly updates, Andrea helps connect MACA members with the latest insights and resources to prepare for what’s ahead.

For longtime MACA member Brian Clark, involvement in the Mid America CropLife Association has been more than professional development:

“MACA gives you vision into what’s next in the industry. You hear the issues, see where the challenges are coming from, and it helps you prepare for your company and your own career.”
Brian’s advice?

“Get engaged, stay involved!”

Happy Thanksgiving from our table to yours!
Today, we’re thankful for the people who make the agriculture industry what it is: farmers, ag retailers, educators, researchers, and the countless professionals across the industry who work together to feed, fuel, and sustain our world.
We’re also grateful for our MACA members, whose dedication to stewardship, innovation, and collaboration strengthens our industry!

For Brad Alliger, Alliger Financial, MACA membership is about connection and contribution — supporting the ag industry, staying current on evolving issues, and helping develop future leaders through programs like the Young Leader Scholarship.
The MACA meetings, he says, especially the Annual Meeting, offer a unique opportunity to meet clients, connect with peers, and explore new ideas.
“You can’t have too many friends in this industry. Participation is the key - be open, get involved, and find where you fit.”
