D-Day….80 years ago
Take 5-10 minutes to watch the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan and remind yourself why we call these guys the greatest generation and why we honor our veterans.

Then take a minute and try to put yourself in their place and how horrific the largest coastal invasion in the history of the world would be for these young men.

Then try to understand how hard it would be to survive war and come home to a peaceful world and a wife and kids and an office job. Freaking brutal.

EOW has been asked to help meet an immediate need here in our community. A grandma has just taken custody of 4 grandchildren, ages 2, 5, 8, and 16. She wasn't planning for this or prepared for it, but it happened and we plan to help her out. She needs a toddler bed and car seat for the 2 year old. The kids need clothes and coats.
Also, we want to bless her and the kids with Christmas gifts. None of these kids deserve the situation they are in, but they do deserve a nice Christmas to help with the transition. I couldn't imagine being moved from my home and parents right before Christmas, and I want them to feel loved and supported. Thank you in advance that is willing to help these kids have the best Christmas possible.

If you want to help with clothes or gifts, send me a message. If you want to donate to help our organization buy what they need, you can do so at

We have been flooded with opportunities to help people in our community this month, but it has left us low on funds.

We are helping multiple single moms and families with small kids stay in hotels instead being homeless.
We are helping a veteran with legal fees so he can get to see his kids more.
We have been providing furniture and appliances to multiple families.
We have been paying utilities and car repairs for veterans and single moms.

We would like to ask you to help us continue helping these people in need. We are close to having to turn people away, and I hate doing that. Please consider donating

We want to help a single mom in need. Everyone pitched in to get her security cameras (thank you), but now the unforseen circumstances of dealing with a violent ex are affecting the rest of her and her kids life. She wrote to me,

"Basically, I left horrible domestic violence situation in Jan and he's been terrorizing us every since. Had to move 3xs. He's been stalking, hiding in the woods, sitting in parking lots at stores with binoculars, hiring private investigators, etc. I lost my job because he was stalking there as well.
Between concern/fear of him finding me, having no one to care for my severely Autistic son, Covid, and having car trouble, I have been out of work for a month.
My rent is $800 a month + utilities, need repairs done on my car, insurance due again, etc.
I'm hoping to be able to make it for a couple of months if possible, until he's put away."
We would like to help her and relieve some of the stress that this is putting on her and her kids. If you would like to lend a helping hand to a single mom in a bad spot, please donate at

Time for some real talk. I'm extremely frustrated and irritated with this situation, but I refuse to do nothing.

We have two single moms that we are currently helping. Both have crazy ex's that are harassing and terrorizing them and their children. One of them even had a child assaulted by the ex. Both of them have called the police numerous times and were told there was nothing they could do. Both men have even been arrested recently, but both were released on bond because no prosecutions are happening due to Covid (wth!). They have broken into their cars, into their houses, stolen things, called non stop, showed up yelling and screaming, and on and on. Nothing is being done to protect these two moms and their children, and that makes me so angry and sad and concerned.

So, I would like to buy each of them two of these security cameras (front and back). They record to the cloud with motion detection, have a loud alarm, shine a bright light, etc. This will at least let them compile evidence, but hopefully gives them some peace of mind and a hand up on these losers of human beings.
These cameras are $250 each, and it's $120 for a year of cloud storage. That means we need to raise $1,240 to make this happen. Our organization will cover what we have too, but every dollar donated helps us help them (we are also helping them with moving and appliances etc).
Please help us help them by donating and sharing this post. Donations can be made at

With Covid not going away, we are still finding ways to serve our community and help others in need. We have used this time to stock our storage with furniture, toys, clothes, etc, and have been getting those supplies out to families in need.
We have been buying and delivering food, and working with other organizations to feed the hungry in our area.
We have sent money to Costa Rica and Haiti to continue to serve our programs there even though we can't be there with them.
Thank you for your support and allowing us to continue to help those in need, even during this crisis.

We might not be able to take a team to Haiti this year. Really breaking my heart. We have been there at least once a year since 2013.
One of the projects we do there is repairing hand pump wells so that communities have access to clean water. Most of Haiti doesn't have running water or sewers, so fresh water close to houses is vital. We typically would repair around 10 wells, each providing water for around 500 people.

Since we might not have a trip, we want to send money to our partners on the ground to fix wells for us in our absence. Put "Haiti" in the giving line and we will send all donations to Haiti.

12 volunteers, 4 hours, 100 additional flags donated by The Home Depot. In the end our location gave out 350 flags! Great way to pay our respects for our veteran's sacrifice on Memorial Day weekend. Thanks everyone!
