NEW THIS WEEK
Non-School Families Religious Education Survey 2026
For all SMOS families with children who do not currently attend St. Margaret of Scotland School.
Please help us track the religious education of our parish children not currently enrolled in St. Margaret’s School (including SMOS school families who might have younger children) by completing our annual survey for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year via smosstl.link/religiousedsurvey . Our parish staff is happy to support your family in the formation and Sacramental preparation of your children (including those who are not yet baptized or were not baptized in the Catholic Church).
Deadline for submissions: August 21, 2026
Questions? Mary Kay McVey at (314) 776-7837 or [email protected] .
Special Collection: Peter's Pence
Please Remember “Special Envelopes” In Your Online Giving
REMINDER: If you are one of the many parishioners who now give online for the General Collection, you are no longer receiving envelopes for your contributions (unless otherwise requested) – but that also means that you are no longer prompted to donate for the various additional parish funds and causes, with extra “special envelopes” each month.
This month on June 29, we are focusing on PETER’S PENCE for our additional donation request. If you’d like to donate to support the work of Pope Leo XIV , please click the link below and select “Peter’s Pence” in the dropdown menu, to make your contribution. Thank you.

LJM - Care For Creation June Action Items
“Every day we have opportunities to reconnect with God through an encounter with nature, whether an ordinary sunrise, a starling on a power line, a tree in a park, or a cloud in the sky. This spirituality doesn’t depend on education or belief. It almost entirely depends on our capacity for simple presence.” ( Richard Rohr )
Action : Consciously give thanks for one revelation of the divine that you experience today in the natural world.

The 2026-2027 Parish Guide Book, listing parishioners, ministries, and organizations, is being prepared for publication. If you have a change of address or family information, please update your details BY JULY 1 with the Parish Office before we print. Call or email Carmela Garza at 314-776-0363 or [email protected] .
MINISTRIES & ORGANIZATIONS
If you are the head of an organization or ministry with details that have changed since last year (contact info, meeting dates, etc.), please update your info.
ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY
Recent survey results show that 92.1% of families would rather patronize a Guide Book advertiser over a non-advertiser. It “will pay” to advertise in our new edition. Contact us if you own or manage a business and would like more details.
For all requests, contact the Parish Office at [email protected] or (314) 776-0363.
The deadline is Wednesday, July 1.
2026-2027 Parish Calendar Updates
It’s time to lay out the calendar for the remainder of 2026 and the first half of 2027. If you lead a parish ministry or organization, or are planning an event, please contact Carmela Garza at 314-776-0363 or [email protected] with dates, times, and locations you plan to meet.
We must receive this information by Wednesday, July 1, 2026 . We will do our best to accommodate all requests, but space is limited and our active and growing parish has many needs. You’ll be notified if there’s a conflict in your request. Thank you for your cooperation.
This is your opportunity to block out space and claim your meeting times around the Parish for the next calendar year. So don't delay!
COMMUNITY NEWS
GVPTF: Gun Violence and Women
JUNE IS NATIONAL GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH. Every day, more than 300 people are directly impacted by gun violence in the United States. Gun Violence Awareness Month was created to draw attention to this tragic reality and demand life-saving change. The St. Louis Archdiocese honors this month with a weekly series of bulletin articles.
From the St. Louis Archdiocesan Task Force On Gun Violence Prevention :
When it comes to gun violence, women in the United States are 28 times more likely to die by firearm homicide than women in peer high-income nations. Two in five female firearm homicide victims were killed by a current or former intimate partner. In other words, every 16 hours, a woman is shot dead by her current or former partner, an average of 70 women every month. Access to a gun makes it 5 times more likely that an abuser will kill his female victim.
As St. Paul notes in this weekend's second reading, we are called to live for God in Christ Jesus. In the St. Louis Archdiocese, St. Martha’s, one of the ministries of Catholic Charities, lives this call by providing shelter, resources, and compassionate care for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
