Greater St. Louis Association of Earth Science Clubs Four St. Louis-area clubs promoting interest in Geology and the Lapidary Art The Association was formed in 1988 and held its first board meeting in January 1989.

The Association is made of four member clubs. The purposes of the Association are to:
Promote interest in Geology and the Lapidary Art
Encourage the collecting and display of rocks, minerals, fossils and gems. Encourage field trips of Geological, Mineralogical, Paleontology or Lapidary nature. Encourage greater interest and education in minerals, fossils and gems

Bob Morse Passed Away - Former GSLAESC Director, Treasurer, & Show Chairman

GSLAESC is saddened to learn that Bob passed away last week. His memorial service is Wednesday afternoon in Troy. Details are here:

Bob served GSLAESC & the rockhound community in many ways for many years. He was a leader in the Rockwood Gem and Mineral Society & represented them on the GSLAESC board of directors. He was also GSLAESC treasurer & show chairman.

Linda Morse, Bob's wife, led the boutique at our Treasures of the Earth show for many years, raising thousands of dollars for our scholarships. Bob helped.

Robert Bob R. Morse, 89, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at SSM - Lake St. Louis. Visitation scheduled from 1p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Troy. Funeral service at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6,
