FreeSource

FreeSource FreeSource is a St. Louis-based non-profit peer support and resource referral organization.

The seeds of FreeSource were sown early in 2016 as a weekly volunteer-produced two-page listing of job leads curated from an an open Facebook group called Who's Hiring in St. Louis City and County?, in which individuals post career opportunities from billboards, flyers, word of mouth, or elsewhere. This easily-printable digest was created for the benefit of people in search of employment who don't

have regular access to the Internet and/or aren't on Facebook, and is regularly supplied to numerous social service agencies. FreeSource as it exists today came into being as a means of broadening the scope of our initial activities to encompass a greater range of supports. Here's a template for a Capacity and Mutual Aid Status Sheet, which is intended to serve as a transparent and supportive space through which friend groups, families, mutual aid networks, and other cohorts can:

- Communicate their current mental and emotional bandwidth
- Share personal needs
- Indicate availability for mutual aid and Support

The sheet includes optional email notifications that send out alerts when someone changes their status to indicate they're struggling, shares a need for support, or offers mutual aid.

Please feel free to copy this sheet to your Google Drive, adapt it for your community's needs, and share it with anyone else who might find it helpful. 💚
