So pleased that Sneakers with Soul had the opportunity to participate in the Beyond Housing/Normandy Schools Collaborative's Beyond the Backpack event this past weekend. All of us that worked the event were as blessed to serve as were the students and families that were the recipients of a new a new pair of adidas or Reebok sneakers to kick-off the new school year. A special "thanks" to the support of the Community Impact Network and Goodeye Community Service Video Production.

Sneakers with Soul, working with its partner social service agency's and school districts provides high-quality brand name sneakers to at-risk children and youth living in poverty. An important step in the distribution process is measuring the feet of the children and youth that will be receiving their new pair of sneakers at no cost to the agency partners at no cost. "U Are Special" - Last evening was a great celebration and recognition held by The School District of University City (SDUC) to honor their volunteers, retirees and saluting the 2022 Teacher of the Year and 2022 Educational Support Staff Person of the Year. The event was emceed by the one and only Sharonica Hardin-Bartley, Ph.D., PHR, district superintendent. Sneakers with Soul was recognized for providing new, high-quality sneakers to all of the district's kindergarteners in the fall of 2021 at no cost to the parents/guardians or . Gifts of sneakers were made possible through the generous financial gifts of the charitable foundations and individuals supporting the mission of Sneakers with Soul. So proud to be partnering with The School District of University City and the committed leadership, staff, social workers, volunteers, educators and everyone working together in service to the education and well-being of the children and youth of the district.
