Intent gets you started, but impact is what carries you forward.

To move “Beyond Intent,” we have to let go of the strategies that didn’t deliver. Pivoting feels heavy when you’re invested in the outcome, but the moment you anchor yourself in the vision ahead, the weight of what failed starts to dissolve.

To turn intent into actual impact, three things are essential:
• Honest self-reflection (how are you showing up)
• Strategic asset mapping (what do you have to offer)
• Deep understanding of community (who are you serving and why)

First day back from our Mental Health & Wellness Break, and our founder Dahoodtalks Host Vanna was right back at work!

Grateful to the SLU Heartland Center for the opportunity to facilitate our Beyond Intent Community Engagement Workshop with faculty, students, and community.

We explored positionality, asset mapping, culture pivots, ecosystem mapping, and what it really means to engage community beyond good intentions.

We’re excited to welcome Shamar, 19, as one of our Teen Ambassadors! 🙌🏾

Shamar will help lead our Teen Corner at Arts In Da Park, creating a space where teens can connect, hang out and vibe with their peers.

Bring your teens out to hang and have fun with all of the DHC teen ambassadors this Saturday!

Never underestimate what you’re doing when it comes from the heart. ❤️

There is so much power in believing that everything will work out, even when you don’t know how or when. You just believe that it will.

You keep showing up. You keep pouring. You keep planting seeds.
