Delicious food at Toasty's with cool people. If you haven't tried the new menu, you need to! They have vegan pizzas with an Indian flair, chaats, fresh juice, and more now! Highly recommend! Thank you so much to Teju for hosting us and having a big vegan pizza for sampling. Everyone loves the new menu and all the good vegan options.

104 PBJ's were made in a jiffy yesterday for PBJ Springfield and donated to the breadline downtown!🥪 We really love helping the community and these wonderful volunteers really enjoyed making these tasty sandwiches. ❤️

Our Super Voter form for the Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge is UP! Super Voters that have voted on dishes at 3+ restaurants this month will be crucial for picking special award categories. You can also enter to raffle prizes generously donated by local businesses!

Want to try some new food choices this weekend? From Strawberry Butter Flapjacks at Three Twigs & Co to the Autumn Harmony Soup at Whimsy Tea Company, there's something everyone can enjoy at Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge restaurants!

Everyone loves naturally vegan food like French Fries and Oreos, but the creativity chefs put in to their new Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge appetizers, entrees, and desserts this month is unlike anything we've seen in Springfield before. People are seeking more vegan food to save animals, benefit their health, and minimize their environmental footprint. It can also be incredibly flavorful, and you're invited to VOTE on new dishes crafted by local chefs this month!

Exciting news! The Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge launches today, our WAND interview with Kristina Barbee from Ad Astra airs tonight at 6 pm, and our PAF - Springfield billboard is UP on Dirksen and Elm St facing south!

It was so cool learning more about Kristina and how vegan-friendly her business is. You can see our interview at 6 pm here - https://www.wandtv.com/watch_now/

Our billboard was a huge accomplishment too. We're following in the footsteps of Peoria and Decatur activists trying to make the connection that the animals people eat are more like the animals we love than not. Stop by our booth at the Old Capitol Farmers Market presented by HSHS St. John's TOMORROW anytime between 8-12 pm to get your Diner Passport for the Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge! We plan to set up in the South East corner near the red X in the image off of 2nd Street and Adams.

22 restaurants and food vendors committed to offering new vegan dishes in October, and the Diner Passport helps you track the ones you visit and vote on! You can enter our Diner Passport raffle if you vote on dishes at 4 or more places and inform me through a Facebook DM or [email protected].

You also have the option of tracking the restaurants you visit on your own, but why miss out on chatting with us and checking out our downtown market? We hope to see you there!
