Our Founder & Chief Birthday Officer, Rolanda Finch, LOVES birthdays and she doesn’t believe in celebrating for just one day. She celebrates all month long! 🎂✨

Her love of birthdays goes deeper than the cake and candles. As a child, Rolanda experienced the joy of being celebrated, and she wanted children in shelter care to have those same happy birthday memories. That dream became It’s Your Birthday, Inc.

So today, we’re celebrating the woman behind the mission! 🎉

Celebrating 12 years of impact and the people who make it possible. 💙

Our 12th Birthday Family Walk brought together community members, families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters to celebrate the mission of It’s Your Birthday, Inc.

We’re especially grateful to the sponsors and organizations who generously contributed to our Silent Auction and supported this year’s Family Walk:













And to the many additional sponsors, donors, participants, volunteers, and community partners whose names may not appear in this post: thank you. Your generosity, participation, and commitment helped make this celebration possible.

As Labor day comes to a close, we're reflecting on the kind of work that truly matters.

At It's Your Birthday, Inc., our work is about more than birthday celebrations. It's about showing someone that they are seen, valued, and worthy of being celebrated, no matter their circumstances. Every birthday box prepared, every celebration shared, every volunteer who gives their time, and every supporter who helps make it possible is part of that work.

Today reminds us that meaningful work isn't always measured by a smile, a moment of joy, or the reminder that someone thought you were worth celebrating.

As we head into a new week, we're grateful for everyone who continues to help us do this work. Here's to the work that brings a little more joy into the world. 🎈🎈
