Mid-September in Missouri, and the harsh reality is that kitten season never truly ends. 🐾

Shelters and rescues are overwhelmed and at capacity. While kittens may be slowing down, more are already on the way.

A female kitten can become pregnant at just 4 months old and have her first litter by 6 months. Without intervention, the cycle continues—litter after litter.

We cannot rescue our way out of this crisis. We must prevent it.

Every spay. Every neuter. Every TNR surgery means fewer kittens born into a world where there may be nowhere for them to go.

💔 Sometimes the hardest part of community cats isn’t finding the cats—it’s having the funds to say YES when they desperately need medical care.

The first 10 days of September have been a difficult reminder of just how important our medical fund is.

In just 10 days, Full Circle has provided $1,547.83 in medical assistance for community cats in need.

🐾 One cat came from St. Louis County with a severe rodent ulcer and extensive mammary tumors. After veterinary evaluation, we made the heartbreaking decision to humanely euthanize her and end her suffering.

🐾 A 5-year-old TNR cat from Jefferson County had been suffering from a severe urinary blockage for four days before his trapper was finally able to secure him. She rushed him to an emergency veterinarian, but sadly, his condition was too advanced. We had to make the difficult decision to let him go peacefully.

🐾 A colony cat from St. Louis County became lethargic and stopped eating. Her examination revealed a mammary tumor. Thankfully, her story had a different outcome. The tumor was removed, and she received updated vaccines.

🐾 Another community cat needed a dental procedure, SNAP testing, and updated vaccines to give him the medical care he needed.

Four cats. Four very different stories.
And four times Full Circle was there to help.

We don’t know what cat will be next.

It could be the sick cat hiding underneath someone’s porch.
The TNR cat whose trapper discovers something isn’t right.
The colony cat who suddenly stops eating.
Or the cat who simply needs medical care before returning safely to their community.

**Labor Day Raffle — Help Us Get More Cats Fixed 🐾**

Full Circle MO Feral is committed to helping address the overwhelming community cat population through much-needed TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) surgeries.

We focus much of our work on sites where moms have had litters of kittens, helping caregivers determine whether kittens are young enough for rescue and adoption or ready for TNR themselves. By helping both the moms and their kittens, we can make a lasting difference and reduce the number of cats and kittens being born outdoors.

Kitten Season Is Still in Full Swing 🐾

As summer starts to wind down, we’d like to remind everyone that kitten season is still in full swing.

The unfixed cats in our communities need everyone’s help. If you have cats living in your neighborhood, make a plan to get them fixed through a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.

Every unfixed cat can contribute to more litters, more kittens, and more cats struggling to survive outdoors. By taking action now, you can help prevent future litters and make a real difference in your community.

Sometimes TNR becomes something much more urgent. 🧡

Meet Oatmeal.

Oatmeal is a community cat in North County whose caretaker discovered that a landscaping ring had become caught around his neck. Thankfully, she was able to get him safely contained, and Full Circle stepped in to help get him the care he needed.

We arranged for Oatmeal to be seen at Carol House Quick Fix Clinic, where the ring could be removed and he could receive his TNR services and medical care.

Oatmeal is one example of why Full Circle MO Feral does what we do. Community cats don’t have owners to cover unexpected veterinary bills, and sometimes what begins as a routine TNR case quickly becomes a medical emergency.

Your donations allow us to say “yes” when cats like Oatmeal need more than a spay/neuter appointment.
