🎉 So exciting! Our third home just sold to Caitlin Isgriggs! Caitlin is a ceramicist who loves making functional pieces, while on a journey to a sculptural niche too. Congratulations!

It was so fun supporting Cailtin on her homebuyer journey, but it was a team effort! It would not have been possible without our collaboration with our partners , Smith NMTC Associates, and ’s Home STL program. Many, many, thanks to all! 🙏🏾

We’re thrilled to share that St. Louis Art Place Initiative has been named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2026! Our biggest source of pride are all of our staff and partners, whose steadfast efforts and belief in the mission over the years made this honor possible.

"Arts-based community development is one of the best tools in St. Louis' toolbox to strengthen neighborhoods, our artists, and our regional economy. In a time where so many are working to fix systemic issues, St. Louis Art Place Initiative is doing so on the ground, at the neighborhood scale."
-Jennifer Allen, Executive Director

📣 Introducing our latest project: ART CO!

We’re thrilled to partner with Dutchtown South Community Corporation (DSCC) over the next year to continue implementation of the Gravois-Jefferson Historic Neighborhoods Plan, adopted in 2018.

Through ART CO (Arts-based Regeneration Through Community Ownership), each organization will lead a series of projects that expand community ownership and cultural assets in Gravois Park and Dutchtown, while exemplifying what it looks for St. Louis to be an arts town at the neighborhood scale. Swipe to see the six project components of ART CO in 2026.

A long time in the making, we're going into the next phase of creating a Cultural Land Trust to steward the cultural assets we create with communities.😍

🔍We're looking for a person, firm, or organization with the expertise to assist in designing and creating a cultural land trust that will steward and maintain the cultural assets we develop with residents in the Gravois Park neighborhood of St. Louis, MO.

If you know of anyone who should submit a quote, please share this post with them. ⏰Deadline: Feb 25, 2026 at 11:59pm CST. RFQ here: tinyurl.com/RFQCLT.

🤩 We're so excited to join so many other groups like The Guild Kensington Corridor Trust and Community Arts Stabilization Trust who are building systems of community ownership.

💡Did you know the first cultural land trust was created in 1969 by the Black community in Albany, Georgia? It was called New Communities, Inc. Learn all about it on the Next City podcast episode "Alternative Models for Funding and Supporting Cultural Spaces and Workers.
