On Thursday, November 4, 2021, the Department of Social Services will host a hiring event partnering with Better Family Life located at 5415 Page Blvd., St. Louis, Missouri 63112. The hiring event will begin at 10am and run until 2pm, filling open positions in its Youth Services Division in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and Hillsboro. “This is a significant event and a first of its kind for the Department of Social Services,” said Steve Ingram, Sr. Director of Workforce Development for Better Family Life. “Job seekers will be able to walk-in, apply, receive an interview and possibly leave with a job offer from the State of Missouri,” said Ingram. Additional services and resources will be made available through partnering organizations and box lunches will be provided to event participants while they last. As we wrap up , ARCHS’ Brittany Radford elaborates on long- and short-term goals of the Neighborhood Healing Network. The NHN’s hubs have been determined since the program’s launch in August 2020 to bring awareness to the vast number of resources for those impacted by crime, violence, and trauma throughout St. Louis City and County. Professionals in a variety of fields are also encouraged to check out our sector trainings to learn to incorporate trauma-informed care into day-to-day work.
