Hutchens-Stygar funeral home in Saint Peters, we had the pleasure of honoring a 73-year-old nurse who dedicated most of her nursing career to hospice nursing.

She served in Pediatrics then later in OB and ER and ICU.
She later retired in 2005.
We also gave tribute to her husband as well as her son that received military honors as well!

Today's ceremony at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood, Missouri, honored a deeply devoted critical care nurse who passed away just days after her husband. Inseparable since age 15, the couple first met while working aboard the Admiral. Throughout her life, she brought immense passion to her career in the intensive care unit, thriving in the fast-paced energy of ICU nursing. While she will be deeply missed by all who knew her, her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband.

This evening’s tribute honored a 70-year-old nurse whose career spanned many areas of nursing before retirement. The final 20 years of her career were devoted to caring for residents in a long-term care facility for nuns, a role that reflected her compassion and dedication to others.
Everyone did an excellent job during the service. Following the tribute, her son-in-law came to each of us individually, shook our hands, and thanked us for being there to honor her life and service. Her daughter, who is also a nurse, and her husband was especially appreciative of the recognition given to her nursing legacy.
It was a meaningful tribute to a nurse whose years of service touched many lives.

Today we had the honor of paying tribute to a wonderful nurse who dedicated more than 35 years of her life to caring for others.

At 71 years old, she left behind a remarkable legacy of compassion, skill, and service. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in the ICU, on an oncology unit, and later in home health, where she was known for providing exceptional, detailed care to some of the most vulnerable patients. Her kindness and dedication touched countless lives.

The tribute ceremony was both moving and beautiful. Lisa delivered the reading with warmth and sincerity. Brelinda presented the White Rose with elegance and respect. Judy graciously presented the Lamp to the family, representing the compassion, dedication, and guiding light she shared throughout her nursing career. Kris performed the triangle during the Last Call to Duty ceremony with honor and professionalism. Together, the entire team helped create a heartfelt and meaningful tribute that reflected the life and service of an extraordinary nurse… NHGSTL

Today we had the honor of paying tribute to a dedicated Registered Nurse whose life was defined by compassion, service, and the commitment to helping others.

At 62 years old, she left behind a remarkable legacy of nursing excellence. For more than 30 years, she cared for countless patients with strength, kindness, and unwavering compassion. Her gentle presence and dedication made a lasting difference in the lives of those she served.

In addition to her clinical work, she served as a nurse preceptor, where she helped shape the next generation of caregivers. Through her patience, wisdom, and encouragement, she mentored nursing students and inspired them to carry forward the values of professionalism, empathy, and service.

Her impact extended far beyond the bedside. The knowledge she shared, the lives she touched, and the nurses she helped guide will continue to benefit patients for years to come.

The tribute ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. Deb did an amazing job with the reading. Diana presented the White Rose with grace and dignity. Kris beautifully presented the Lamp to the family, symbolizing the light and compassion she shared throughout her career.
