Veteran Smiles Foundation The mission of the foundation is to provide dental care for veterans of the United States military. Donations are used for routine and specialty dental care.

Veterans served by the foundation include those that can prove low or no income status, lack of private or state dental insurance benefits and also do not qualify for Veterans Administration dental benefits. Dr. Bruzek and his wife Laura met while he was serving as a dental officer in the United States Navy. They opened their dental practice in St. Clair, Michigan in 2017 with a goal to help veter

ans in need whenever possible. They hosted their first Veterans Day event that same year, providing free dental care to 24 veterans. This became an annual event until 2023 when they founded Veteran Smiles, in order to help as many veterans as possible. The foundation now covers the cost of dental care for uninsured veterans throughout the year. To date the office and the Foundation have provided nearly $200,000 in care at no cost to the veterans they serve. Services provided have included cleanings, extractions, root canals, fillings, crowns, dentures and visits to specialists.

We wanted to share one example of the kind of cases the Veteran Smiles Foundation helps with and what your donations help to fund.

This particular veteran contacted us asking if we could help improve his smile so he would have the confidence to go on upcoming job interviews.

We worked up a treatment plan and provided this patient with an entirely new smile. Not only did he get a job, he now owns his own business!
