We are Doing This for Dawn – and You Can Too!

Since launching Doing This for Dawn, so many of you have reached out asking how you can help – and now’s your chance!

April 23rd is Dawn’s birthday, and to celebrate her giving spirit, we’re hosting our 1st Annual Donation Drive all month long! In honor of her love for animals, we’ll be collecting donations for local animal shelters throughout April.

How you can help:
• Donate new or gently used items for dogs and cats (I’ll be posting a wishlist soon!)
• We’ll happily arrange for drop-off or pick-up – whatever’s easiest for you!
• Short on time? Monetary donations are welcome! I’ll personally shop for supplies with 100% of what’s donated.

Let’s make this first annual drive something truly special. Dawn loved animals and together we can spread that love to animals who need it most.

My name is Dray, and I am the founder of the Doing This For Dawn Foundation. Some of you may know, but for those who don’t, Dawn was my mom. She passed away from ovarian cancer in August of 2024, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. My goal with this foundation is simple—to keep her memory alive.

Dawn had a heart for giving, especially when it came to helping animals. She was the kind of person who always found a way to give, whether big or small. I created this foundation to carry that spirit forward in her name. For now, I’m organizing donation drives for some of her favorite charities, but this is just the beginning. My hope is to grow and expand, reaching more people, more causes, and making an even greater impact—just like Dawn always did.
