🔥 BREAKOUT JAIL MINISTRY | BLOUNT COUNTY MEN 🔥

Sometimes the nights that don’t go according to plan turn out to be exactly what God had planned.

Ware, Greg, and Daniel headed into the Blount County Jail and spent the evening ministering with six residents. But there was one little problem…

The iPad was dead. 😂

So instead of the testimony they had planned, they did something different.

They swapped testimonies.

Ware, Greg, and Daniel shared.
The residents shared.
And walls started coming down that had nothing to do with the jail.

The men were incredibly open and honest as they shared their stories, their struggles, and what God is doing in their lives.

And somewhere in the middle of all that sharing, something powerful became clear:

🔥 They may be inmates right now, but they can ALSO be men of God.

Their current circumstances do not disqualify them from being used by Jesus.

God doesn’t have to wait until the sentence is over.
He doesn’t have to wait until the doors open.
He doesn’t have to wait until everything is cleaned up.

Christ can do a work IN them and THROUGH them right where they are.

Ware, Greg, and Daniel all agreed that it was an incredible night for everyone involved and that the Holy Spirit definitely had His way.

The iPad may have been missing…

But the Holy Spirit certainly wasn’t. 🙌🔥

Please keep these six men in your prayers. Pray that what God is doing in their hearts continues long after our team leaves and that they begin to understand that incarceration may describe where they are right now, but it does not define who they are or determine how God can use them.

🐿️🚨 SQUIRREL ALERT 🚨🐿️

We asked Pastor Gresh for this week’s Scripture.

His response:

“Lots and lots. 😂 But the main two are…”

📖 Luke 12:35–40
📖 Matthew 22:1–14

LOTS. AND. LOTS. 😂

At this point, we’re not even pretending we know where this squirrel is headed.

We’ve got servants waiting for their master to return.
We’ve got a wedding banquet.
We’ve got invitations.
We’ve got people who are ready… and people who definitely are NOT.

And apparently, that’s just the MAIN two passages. 👀

So charge your Bible, bring the paper version with the good flipping pages (we LOVE those), stretch your Scripture-finding fingers, and prepare accordingly. 😂

🐿️ The squirrel has been released.

Where are we going?

No idea.

And you know what that means...

Most of us don’t walk into Celebrate Recovery because everything is going great. 😂

We come in because **something has to change.**

We’re tired. We’re hurting. We’re desperate. What we’ve been doing isn’t working anymore, and somewhere deep down we know we can’t keep living this way.

So we come to God with a pretty simple prayer:

**“God, HELP ME.”**

Help me stop.

Help me change.

Help me survive this.

Help me fix what I’ve broken.

Help me get out of this mess.

And in His grace, God meets us right there.

But here’s the beautiful part...

**God doesn’t just want to get us OUT of something. He wants to lead us INTO something.**

Recovery was never meant to end with our freedom.

There comes a point when the prayer begins to change from:

**“God, help me.”**

to...

**“God, USE me.”**

The freedom He gives us has a purpose.

The story He is redeeming can become hope for somebody who is still walking through the door desperate for help.

Don’t stop at freedom.

Give away what was so freely given to you. 🧡🩵

From Ms Kathy: Monday night we had the privilege of ministering to 17 women. We spent time listening to their concerns, praying for needs for family members, court dates, and peace with the circumstances they are faced with. We expressed God's love for them and He only wants their heart and their yes, followed with the CR teaching on Through the Fire., which touched all our hearts as we laughed, cried, and renewed commitments to serve Christ and each other.

Another good night behind the walls. 🙌🔥

Tuesday night, Thermond, Greg, and Jarred headed into the Blount County Jail representing BreakOut Jail Ministry and carrying one simple message with them:

There is hope. There is grace. And no one is beyond the reach of Jesus.

We don’t always have a lot of details to share but every opportunity to sit across from someone, listen, encourage, pray, and point them toward Christ matters.

Seeds get planted in places most people never see. 🌱

Please continue to pray for the men inside the Blount County Jail. Pray that God would meet them right where they are, soften hearts, restore hope, and use this season of their lives to draw them closer to Him.

And pray for Thermond, Greg, Jarred, and the entire BreakOut team as they continue showing up week after week. May God give them the right words when words are needed, the wisdom to listen when they aren’t, and the courage to keep carrying the hope of Jesus behind the walls.

The walls may hold people in, but they can’t keep Jesus out. 🔥

TESTIMONY TUESDAY 🧡🩵

Here’s a question that might show just how much recovery has changed you:

**What’s something that used to ruin your whole day that recovery has taught you to handle differently?**

Maybe somebody didn’t text you back.

Someone criticized you.

Plans changed.

You made a mistake.

Someone was upset with you.

You heard the word “no.”

You had a bad morning and decided that meant you were going to have a bad day.

Or maybe it’s something much bigger.

There was a time when one hard moment could turn into an entire hard day... or week.

We reacted.

We spiraled.

We shut down.

We lashed out.

We numbed.

We obsessed.

We tried to control the situation, the people involved, and occasionally the rotation of the earth. 😂

But recovery teaches us something powerful:

**We don't have to give one moment permission to own the rest of our day.**

We can pause.

We can pray.

We can call our sponsor or someone in our support system.

We can ask ourselves what is actually true instead of reacting to what we're feeling.

We can make amends when we're wrong.

We can set a boundary when it's needed.

We can accept the things we cannot change.

And sometimes we can simply say, *“Well... that stunk,”* and keep moving. 🙌

That may not sound like a dramatic testimony.

But it is.

Because testimony isn't only the story of who you used to be.

**It's also the evidence of who you're becoming.**

So let's hear some recovery today!

Drifting doesn't announce itself. It whispers. One missed Sunday (or Friday night CR) becomes two, then three. Before you know it, you've stopped praying, stopped serving, stopped being honest. The good news? You can choose differently today. Staying free requires intentional effort, but it's worth it.
