Heavenly Father, I pray that YOU walk through the halls and buildings of every Primary school, Elementary school, Middle school, High school, College and University this coming school year. Please remove all hate crimes, bullies, unnecessary worries and all negativity. We ask that YOU watch over and protect every student, Administrator, Faculty member, and Staff member from any hurt, harm, or danger in Jesus Holy name, Amen. 😇

I want to give an update as to where we are at... The Community Action Board has met twice. So far this encompasses town and village officials, school board president, and the school superintendent. We have begun to set in place the structure of the CAB including bringing in the remaining CAB members, by laws, and our overall mission and vision.

The structure of the CAB has changed from my original thought, and that is solely to make this mission more functional and efficient. We will have monthly CAB meetings with CAB members and then will set up meetings for the entire community to participate and discuss what we are doing and to bring your concerns or questions directly to us.

We are filing 501c3 to become an official Non-Profit Organization. Becoming a Non-Profit will allow us to apply for funding, and grants to accomplish some of our short term and long term goals.

I am busy building a website that hopefully will be complete and running before the snow starts flying. Many topics have already been discussed and the current CAB members have already started coming up with great ideas and suggestions.

More updates to follow!

It is almost time for our CAB to set up our first meeting...our local politicians (town, village, and school) are being organized to work together to tackle mass shootings on a level that to my understanding has never been done before.

Our state and federal politicians have failed us and more importantly failed our children. This is not about gun rights, or mental health it is about forcing our politicians from the state and federal level to create, and implement:

_ A training facility to allow training and education of how to survive a mass shooting
_ Education of what to do if you are in a mass shooting event
_ Education and resources to address mental health as well as gun safety
_ Education and training to put control back into the hands of the public to protect themselves and their children.

Utilizing our local elected officials as representatives of their constituents to give the communities the freedom to live and survive when met face to face with evil. This is about coming together as a community and saying that we are done with the status quo of our representatives at the state and federal level allowing mass executions.

We can force change one community at a time, by forming a well regulated militia, not by the use of weapons, but by morals and ethics uniting together as one to systematically force change on the bigger political stages. Holding those accountable for their failures, while at the same time pursuing change locally.

I am confident we can enact change, the question is how many bridges do we have to burn to get there? What would you do to protect your child?

We have the cooperation of our town, village, and school officials, do you want to be on the Community Action Board (CAB)? The CAB will be a sounding board for concerns, areas to improvement on safety concerns, funding, education, training, and finally a voice of change to higher up elected officials. If interested please reach out to me as the CAB's first mission will be to address how to invite/elect/nominate the other board members:

- Parents of school district children
- Students of SGI school district: HS Seniors Only**
- Community members that are not parents of SGI children
- Educators employed by SGI**

** will be discussed with CAB to allow/not allow representatives per current policy and/or suggestions.

Thank You,
Greg Stowell

This will be my last post for a little while regarding mass shootings as we have accomplished the first of many small goals. We have arranged the involvement of Springville School Board, Village of Springville Board, and the Town of Concord Board. Each will be the founders of the Community Action Board. We will begin to address how to elect, nominate, or appoint the other members of the CAB over the coming weeks.

Last night I had the pleasure of addressing the town board. I will provide a recording of my statement to them in the coming days. After the board meeting, I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Jeffery Souder- District Community Liaison for NYS Assemblyman David DiPietro. He is very interested in my approach as it doesn’t involve healthcare reform or gun laws, and plans on discussing my approach with DiPietro. I have already emailed Mr. Souder a copy of my statements to the Village and Town. Assemblyman DiPietro to my knowledge is scheduled to give a town hall meeting in Concord in the next few weeks. I plan on being present to ask about this approach and hopefully create change statewide.

Thank you to everyone that has a vested interest in protecting our children and community! My Promise is we will keep pushing forward until no more lives are lost to mass shootings!

We have succeeded in getting the 3 major boards together for a community-based approach. Even though my meeting with Town is Tomorrow May 11th, the Town Supervisor Phil Drodz has already stated to me that the town will be happy to have a seat at the table for a community-based approach to mass shootings. The Town board obtained a copy of my statement to the Village and made their decision. We now have the Village, Town, and School Boards that will begin to work together for solutions, education, and training.
Tomorrow night at the town board meeting I will address my thoughts and plans on a community-based approach. I encourage all to come out to hear my statement and address your concerns. As always, all conversations and actions must be respectful and lawful.

Town Of Concord Board Meeting
86 Franklin St
Springville NY
7PM

This is my statement to the Village on Monday May 1st. Sound is quiet you will need to turn volume all the way up.

Even though I wish the turnout in support was better for my discussion with the Village regarding school and community shootings, progress was made. The Village Board allowed me to address them with my entire 15-minute statement. Trustee Braman reached out to me after the board meeting to let me know the Village is in favor of a community-based approach to addressing mass shootings. I will be addressing the Town Board next week, May 11th, and after that we will be bringing the boards (that want to be involved) together to form a Community Action Board (CAB). Trustee Braman and Trustee Buncy will be the Village delegates to the CAB.

Even just the forming of the CAB will take some time to figure out how to appoint/elect/nominate members of the board that do not hold political office. (parents, non-parent community members, teachers, students, etc.) The CAB will be the sounding board for open discussions on planning, educating, and training for mass shootings.

We have plenty of ideas that wouldn’t cost anything to taxpayers and would begin to form a full comprehensive approach to mass shootings. The priority is to get the CAB established to begin to find out where the problems lie and begin to address those.

Thank you to the Village Board for hearing and truly taking to heart my statement. After my statement to the Town Board, I will share a video of my statement to the board with the social media communities so our community can be on the same page.

Tonight is the beginning of change, at least that is what I am hoping. Come to the Village Board Meeting 7PM:

65 Franklin Street
Springville NY

Listen to my statement to the board about a community based approach to school and community shootings, and voice your own concerns. Keep in mind that any unlawful or disrespectful behavior/statements are not something that will be tolerated or accepted.

Reminder: The My Promise mission will be collecting new shoes for donation to those in our community that are in need, a box will be placed outside of the meeting hall for donations.

A small and short rally will be held 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting where I will address any and all supporters.

“The strongest force in the world is a parent that is willing to do anything to protect their child”

04/19/2023

24 years ago this morning, parents of Columbine High School were sending there children ranging in ages 14-18 off to school for the last time knowing they would be home for dinner. 24 years ago today was beginning of the school shooting that has defined our failed leadership.

April 20th, at 11:19 AM, the shooting began, and within 15 minutes, 12 children and 1 educator were executed, while another 20 were injured. Around 12PM the killings stopped with the joint suicides of the shooters.

24 years of failed leadership to protect our schools, 24 years of child funerals, 24 years of our elected officials profiting millions of dollars from special interest groups, while our children are executed.

The time is now, we the parents, students, and educators, force change, rise up against your local politicians. Bring the fight to them.
