“THE DREAM”
S.A.F.E was founded to fulfill a ‘dream’ of a group of dedicated Springport residents to provide financial assistance to Springport High school graduates. The Springport Area Foundation for Education (S.A.F.E.) was chartered as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in November, 2003 for the sole purpose of providing that financial assistance to graduates of Springport High School to pursue
educational pursuits. We believe this Foundation will provide a positive means for individuals to honor and memorialize a departed loved one. You may also pay tribute to someone living with a donation. All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. With your continued support, S.A.F.E. will surely grow and have a positive impact on the lives of many Springport graduates. GOAL
S.A.F.E. is a self-perpetuating foundation. The funds of this foundation are raised through donations. Ninety percent (90%) of the investment income will be distributed as scholarships annually. The remaining 10% earned income will be added to the fund balance of the foundation. LIMITATIONS
S.A.F.E. is not affiliated with the Springport Public Schools. S.A.F.E. is a 501(c)3 corporation with a Board of Directors operating independent of the Springport Public Schools. PURPOSE
The purpose of this foundation is to help young people pursue goals through education beyond high school. Scholarships and grants will be rewarded to deserving Springport graduates that show a sincere desire to succeed. ANNUAL REPORT
S.A.F.E. will annually prepare and publish an Annual Report to be made available to the public. FUNDING AND SUPPORT
Monies for sustaining this scholarship will come from the following:
*Named Scholarship- A donation of $10,000.00 or more offers the opportunity for the donor to have a scholarship established in the name or their honored person, organization, or other entity.
*Donors reaching the following amounts through honoring, memorials, and general contribution whether it be monetary contributions, stocks, real estate, etc. will be gratefully accepted and will have their names posted annually in the display case located in the foyer of the Springport High School Gymnasium.
* up to $249.00 - White
* $250.00 - $999.00 - Blue
* $1,000.00 - $9,999.00 - Silver
* $10,000.00 & up - Gold
HOW TO DONATE
Any and all donations and/or gifts are welcome. They are tax deductible and records are open to the public.
*Donations may be given in Memory of anyone you name.
*Donations may be given to Honor anyone you name.
*Donations may be made anonymously.
