Thursday morning update:

05/21/2026

I finally found what makes baby Andie show some signs of life 🩵 I am so grateful I got this on camera. I’m going to be honest, she has been pretty lifeless since day 1…. And I was so certain she wouldn’t survive past day one. Seeing this spark in her is absolutely what the Dr called for at 1am! I am about to do her fluids and then us girls are headed to bed together 🐶💕👯‍♀️

I genuinely don’t even know what to say right now. And I know I’ve been saying that a lot lately- but I just don’t understand how we can keep getting knocked down harder and harder. We were at 9 positives in 19 days but I believe we maybe just got our 10th one. The nursing mom and 5 week old litter we rushed to safety because of the extreme parvo risk they were heavily exposed to may have just tested positive. The test was faint enough that I honestly am not 100% sure, especially this late at night.

Please pray hard that the foster Autumn and I are imagining fake lines in our head for this mama and babies tonight. The babies are 4.5-5 weeks old and that is by far the absolute worst age for this to happen at. When they are younger (birth to 3 ish weeks), their antibodies are high from the mom’s milk, they slowly start dipping down until this age when they dip fast and hard, hence, the first parvo shot at 6 weeks to bring their immunity back up. If these babies were just hardly a week older and could have had their first Distemper Parvo shot, their outcome would be increased. Anyways; that’s all for tonight. 😩

Just finished up our 1-2 am round of IV fluids and fed the bottle kittens 🍼💤 Normally I wouldn’t share an update like this due to major sleep deprivation, but Xaden is feeling COMFY after his last IV and I had to share the cuteness 🩵🐶

Dain chewed on his bone for about 3 minutes before passing out cold 🦴😂 Our new little guy is absolutely zonked out on his cot 🥱

These boys (and I) have all had a long day, but seeing them feel safe to relax makes every sleepless night worth it ….. 🤪🩵

The Parvo saga continues 😭

The 2 girls at the vet are STILL fighting. Today neither had vomit and both are very interested in eating, which is a HUGE win. 🩷

But around 4pm today, both of the brothers broke with symptoms… so now all 4 littermates officially have parvo.

The original plan was to switch the boys into hospitalization tomorrow since the girls are currently more stable and I could continue at-home treatment for them. Unfortunately the clinic can only hospitalize 2 puppies at a time for me right now.

THEN while I was out getting supplies tonight during a small break……… another puppy needing help found his way to me. 🥴 A friend of a friend reached out about a puppy a couple had found days ago that just tested positive for Parvo. After swearing I needed a break and had to start saying no… I still said yes for whatever reason. 🥺

The couple met me tonight and we went over what the next few days will look like. Most likely I’ll be treating this puppy at home too, but it honestly just depends on who is in the worst shape by morning.

They were kind enough to donate $150 toward his care and I’m extremely grateful. But as of tonight, I’m sitting at $2,992 spent in just 17 days from this parvo nightmare — not including gas from driving to Marshfield almost daily or the 18-20+ hour days spent treating, cleaning, medicating, force feeding, administering fluids, and trying to save these dogs.

Tomorrow’s bill alone could easily be another $500-$1000+.

There is honestly nothing I hate more than asking for help, but I am truly desperate right now. There are no funds left. Everything is currently coming out of my pocket… or more specifically, my credit card.

Please keep these babies in your thoughts tonight. We are trying SO hard over here to keep going but my energy levels are running empty.

Violet and I stopped and got a pup cup lid on our way to the vet this morning 🥺🩷 She is doing okay-ish. I really don’t want to say one way or the other right now because with parvo, things can change so fast. She is officially checked in for hospitalization and now we wait, pray, and hope her little body keeps fighting.

In other news, Andie is kicking parvo’s butt 💪🏼 I genuinely cannot believe this girl has made it this far. She is proving every single day that she is a FIGHTER. We are right under 3 days of treatment. Watching her continue to push through gives me the tiniest bit of hope during one of the hardest times I’ve ever faced in rescue.

I am exhausted mentally, physically, and financially. I’m running on almost no sleep, working my 2 serving jobs in between round the clock care, feeding bottle kittens, vet runs, fluids, medications, cleaning, and trying so hard to keep saving everyone I can. I truly cannot do this without you guys anymore. If you’ve ever considered donating, sharing, praying, or helping in any way, now is the time. We are drowning in parvo bills and emergency care.

Tonight, our foster sent over some pictures that concerned me, so I rushed to get this puppy parvo tested. And just like that… another positive.

I truly have zero words left at this point.

I came straight home with Violet to immediately start at-home treatment until I can get her into the vet in the morning. Thankfully, she has not vomited, so we are REALLY hoping the monoclonal antibody shot was given early enough before she broke with symptoms to give her a fighting chance.

After her first round of fluids at 7pm, she honestly seemed SO much more lively. She was perky enough to give me kisses and even chew on a bone for a little bit 🥹

I just finished up her second round of fluids at 1am and my eyes are genuinely closing while trying to finish writing and posting this update. We will be back up at 7am to start chores and do another round of fluids before we can get into the vet clinic.

On a more hopeful note — as of earlier this evening, our sweet Andie girl is STILL FIGHTING!!! 🩷 It actually seems like she may be feeling a little better tonight, and I included a picture of her at the end. Seeing even the tiniest spark in these babies keeps me going right now.

Please continue praying for every single one of these puppies. We need all the hope we can get.
