🎉 Father's Day is coming and we are making something SPECIAL.
Join us on Thursday, June 12th from 5:00 to 7:30 PM for our free Father's Day community craft event!

Together we will hand-make one-of-a-kind layered wooden keychains, a real keepsake Dad, Grandpa, Pops, or any special person in your life will actually use and treasure. Each keychain is built in layers with hand-painted art, a laser-cut wood silhouette, and a beaded cord personalized by YOU. No experience needed. All supplies provided. All ages welcome.

This is a free event open to the whole community! 🖌️🧡

Still soaking in the sweetness of Friday’s Mother’s Day Community Maker Event 🌸

What started as paper flowers, paint, and wood turned into something so much bigger:
🧡families creating together
🧡children making heartfelt gifts for moms
🧡 community members giving back to women they may never meet
🧡 kindness spreading one handmade piece at a time

Together, participants created 72 beautiful floral keepsakes, one to take home and one to donate to local young and single mothers through our community partners.

Watching the room fill with creativity, laughter, and genuine connection was such a beautiful reminder of why community matters.

A huge thank you as well to Miryam at mgh.creates for generously donating the beautiful hand painted Mother’s Day banner that helped make the space feel so special 🧡

Thank you to every mother, family, volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make this event possible. We are endlessly grateful 🌿

Happy Mother’s Day🧡

Today we’re celebrating the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, bonus moms, and women who pour so much of themselves into caring for others every single day.

The nurturing, teaching, comforting, creating, carrying, encouraging, sacrificing, and loving; even in the quiet unseen moments, matters more than words can say.

We hope today holds a little beauty, rest, joy, and appreciation for all of you.

And to everyone who joined us this week creating handmade gifts filled with love and intention… thank you for helping spread kindness far beyond our walls 🌸

Little hands, big impact 💛

Even the smallest acts of kindness can create a ripple effect, just like when you drop a pebble into water. 💧

I had the pleasure of sharing this with Daisy Troop 52173 as we painted rocks to leave out in the world in hopes they make someone smile, and maybe inspire them to pass it on 💛 Because making the world better doesn’t have to be big or complicated.

Sometimes it’s as simple as:�

✨ a kind word�
✨ a small gesture�
✨ or a painted rock left in just the right place

And those little ripples? One small act of kindness can spread farther than we ever see.

🌸 BLOOM & BOND: Mother’s Day Make One, Give One Workshop 🌸

Next Month's Community Maker Night we’re creating something beautiful *and* giving back.

Join us for a meaningful family craft experience in honor of Mother's Day, where each participant will create **two floral wooden keepsakes** 💐

🤍 One to keep and gift to the mother figure in their life
🤍 One to be donated to young mothers through Second Story and single mothers of a local Springfield group.

Every flower placed becomes part of a bigger act of love.

This is designed for all ages, with pre-cut flowers and leaves that make it easy for even little hands to create something beautiful.

Come create with mom or create for mom, and help make another mother feel seen and celebrated this Mother’s Day.

📣 A little update from our CMF family!

In case you hadn't heard unfortunately, our April in-person event has been canceled. Our event spaces weren't available this month, and we didn't want to rush a backup plan that didn't feel right.

BUT, the kindness doesn't stop! 🪨💛

All month long, we're inviting YOU to join our challenge right from home:

💛 Thank you to Second Story for the kind words — and to every volunteer who showed up to make this happen.

Together, our March Community Makers Night assembled a 240-piece collaborative mural, complete with hidden messages of hope tucked inside, now installed at Second Story’s Teens in Crisis program.

This is exactly what Community Makers Night is about: neighbors coming together to create something meaningful for the people in our community who need it most. Every tile was painted by hand. Every message was written with intention. And every teen who walks past that wall will know their community is rooting for them.

Brighter days ahead. 🎨

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers and participants of the March Community Makers Night from Community Makers Foundation!
