We’re grateful to 4imprint’s one by one® promotional products $500 grant.  With these funds Community Makers Foundation will be able to get a brand new branded 10-foot event tent.
Showing up for community art often means showing up rain or shine, in parking lots, parks, and public spaces, wherever our community needs us to be! This tent means our team will have real shelter and visibility no matter where we set up next.

Mark your calendars, our next Community Maker Night is September 11th, and this one is extra special. 🇺🇸

We're honoring the first responders in our own community by welcoming the Greater Springfield Volunteer Fire Department as our special guests. They'll be bringing an ambulance for everyone to check out up close, a highlight for our younger makers and the young at heart alike.

Our community project that night is a big one too. 👨‍🎨 We're building a waving American flag together, made entirely from recycled materials, and donating the finished piece to the fire department as a thank you for everything they do for us.

For your take-home craft, you'll be making your own upcycled magnets, perfect for the fridge or a locker.

Same place, same time as always. Everyone is welcome, no experience needed, and there's no cost to attend.

Wondering what actually happens at a Maker Night? Press play. 🎨

Picture a room full of people who did not know each other an hour ago, gluing, cutting, laughing, and turning stuff headed for the trash into something worth keeping. Kids, teens to grandparents, first timers, all of it.

Held every second Friday of the month, join us on our next one on September 11th, at Daventry Community Room from 5:00-7:30. Free, no experience needed, just bring yourself and some friends! Check our website for registration and more details!

Watch what happens when a community tells a story together. 📖✨

At this month’s Community Maker Night, neighbors of all ages tore, layered, and glued tissue paper backgrounds for the pages of our StoryWalk. Every single board was a collaborative effort built by many hands.

And now? The finished StoryWalk is on display at West Springfield Elementary School! It’s a story written to welcome nervous kindergarteners and returning students alike, reminding every kid walking through those doors that they belong.

Walk the path, read the story page by page, and see what community makers can create together. Every page was made from recycled materials and a pile of torn tissue paper. That’s the magic we’re all about.

Some exciting news to share! Community Makers Foundation has received a Spark Good Local Grant from Walmart Burke Store #5227, and every dollar goes straight into what matters most: keeping our monthly Community Maker Nights completely free.

That means more supplies, more seats at the table, and more nights where neighbors of all ages can create something wonderful together from materials that would otherwise be thrown away.

To everyone who shows up, brings a friend, or donates materials: this grant exists because of the community you’ve built. We can’t wait to make more with you.
