We have exciting news for our June Community Makers Night!

We are heading to a NEW location. Join us at Daventry Community Room on Friday, June 12 anytime from 5:00 to 7:30pm. 7721 Painted Daisy, Dr, Springfield, 22152.

And the craft? It is a good one.

In honor of Father's Day, each participant will create two wooden beaded keychains: one to keep as a meaningful gift for the dad in their life, and one to give to a local father in our community. Because the best gifts are the ones that spread a little further.

Whether you come with Dad to make something together, or sneak away with mom to make a surprise, everyone leaves with a keepsake and a piece of kindness to pass on.

We will have all materials ready, a fun photo op backdrop, and a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy. Drop in anytime between 5:00 and 7:30pm. No experience needed.

🎉 Father's Day is coming and we are making something SPECIAL.
Join us on Thursday, June 12th from 5:00 to 7:30 PM for our free Father's Day community craft event!

Together we will hand-make one-of-a-kind layered wooden keychains, a real keepsake Dad, Grandpa, Pops, or any special person in your life will actually use and treasure. Each keychain is built in layers with hand-painted art, a laser-cut wood silhouette, and a beaded cord personalized by YOU. No experience needed. All supplies provided. All ages welcome.

This is a free event open to the whole community! 🖌️🧡

Still soaking in the sweetness of Friday’s Mother’s Day Community Maker Event 🌸

What started as paper flowers, paint, and wood turned into something so much bigger:
🧡families creating together
🧡children making heartfelt gifts for moms
🧡 community members giving back to women they may never meet
🧡 kindness spreading one handmade piece at a time

Together, participants created 72 beautiful floral keepsakes, one to take home and one to donate to local young and single mothers through our community partners.

Watching the room fill with creativity, laughter, and genuine connection was such a beautiful reminder of why community matters.

A huge thank you as well to Miryam at mgh.creates for generously donating the beautiful hand painted Mother’s Day banner that helped make the space feel so special 🧡

Thank you to every mother, family, volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make this event possible. We are endlessly grateful 🌿

Happy Mother’s Day🧡

Today we’re celebrating the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, bonus moms, and women who pour so much of themselves into caring for others every single day.

The nurturing, teaching, comforting, creating, carrying, encouraging, sacrificing, and loving; even in the quiet unseen moments, matters more than words can say.

We hope today holds a little beauty, rest, joy, and appreciation for all of you.

Little hands, big impact 💛

Even the smallest acts of kindness can create a ripple effect, just like when you drop a pebble into water. 💧

I had the pleasure of sharing this with Daisy Troop 52173 as we painted rocks to leave out in the world in hopes they make someone smile, and maybe inspire them to pass it on 💛 Because making the world better doesn’t have to be big or complicated.

Sometimes it’s as simple as:�

✨ a kind word�
✨ a small gesture�
✨ or a painted rock left in just the right place

And those little ripples? One small act of kindness can spread farther than we ever see.
