Ozarks Kennel Club was honored to welcome Karen Strange, President of MOFED (Missouri Federation of Animal Owners), to speak with our membership.

MOFED is on the front lines protecting the rights of responsible animal owners, breeders, exhibitors, and sportsmen by fighting legislation that threatens animal ownership and working to keep animal rights activists from writing or influencing our laws.

Karen shared the challenges they faced during this legislative session. While not every bill could be stopped, MOFED successfully kept provisions out of proposed legislation that would have allowed animal rights activists to influence or determine what constitutes animal abuse.

MOFED also works closely with the AKC Government Relations team, providing valuable input and collaborating to combat harmful anti-animal owner legislation.

A huge thank you to Karen Strange and the entire MOFED team for their dedication and tireless work protecting our rights as responsible animal owners.

This week at the Ozarks Kennel Club meeting, we had Joe Grissom speak about the rising cost of dog food and why it impacts the pocket book so heavily. Joe brought a wealth of knowledge and insight to a topic that affects all dog owners.

With over 50 years in the dog industry, Joe is an expert in many areas and offers a variety of educational seminars. We greatly appreciated him taking the time to speak with our membership and look forward to working with Joe more in the future!

Join us this evening for our monthly meeting—we’ve got something special lined up!
