Better Block SGF

Springfield is pretty cool. 💛

We’re grateful for our friends at Celebrate Springfield for bringing people together to explore, experience, and celebrate all the amazing things our city has to offer.

That’s what we love about place — creating opportunities for people to connect with their city and with each other.

Keep celebrating SGF! 🎉

This Sunday, it’s time to celebrate SGF! 💛🎉

Celebrate Springfield takes place at Route 66 Stadium from 1–4 p.m. with live music, activities, food trucks, and more. And the best part? It’s FREE and family-friendly!

Better Block SGF is proud to be a partner for this year’s celebration. We’ll be helping create a little place to gather, play and connect — and we’ll have our own Better Block booth there, too!

Come out, say hi, and check out what we’re building alongside some of our many cool friends in the community. We’ll see you Sunday! 👋✨

On October 15 from 5–8 p.m., we’re bringing our first-ever fundraising event to the park — testing new ideas, sparking some inspiration and creating an evening that gives you a chance to experience Schaible in a whole new way.

Here’s what’s on the lineup:

🍽️ A lake-side dinner in the park by Chef Chuy, Showmechuy
🎶 Live music by Robot, the Fancy Animal
🍹 Creative mocktails by Mocktinis
✨ A few other surprises we’re keeping up our sleeves!

This isn’t your typical fundraiser. It’s casual, outdoors and centered around gathering in the park — and it’s also Better Block SGF’s first fundraising event.

Your support helps fund our work and future activations as we continue testing ideas, building community and creating more vibrant gathering places across Springfield.

This is an experience like no other — you won’t want to miss it.

🌳 A little more shade. A little more play. A lot more place.

A huge thank you to the students from and who came out to help us bring our Park(ing) Day builds to life! 💚

These students put their time, creativity, and energy into creating temporary spaces that invite people to pause, gather, play, and experience a place in a different way.

We hope everyone at enjoys a little extra shade and a moment to relax, connect, and enjoy the space around you. ☀️🌿

That’s what Better Block SGF is all about — showing what’s possible when we rethink everyday spaces and work together to create places that are more welcoming, engaging, and connected to the people who use them.

Thank you to everyone who helped us build, create, and imagine what our spaces can be. Better places start with people. 💚

Shout out to , , and for giving us a canvas to do our work!
