Our Story

Founded in 2012, Hope Academy is a school in Thomassique, Haiti that educates, feeds and provides healthcare to 332 children who are orphans or the poorest of the poor. The school consists of three preschool classes (3, 4, and 5 year olds) and grades 1-6. Once our students graduate from the 6th grade we provide scholarships for the students to attend the local middle and high schools. We currently have 44 students in that program. In addition to education, food and healthcare, our 376 students are provided books and uniforms, summer school and English classes for the older students, all at an annual cost of less than $300 per child.

Our goals in the next two years include adding 3 more grades; establishing an agriculture/gardening program; acquiring a reverse osmosis water purification system and enhancing our existing solar power.

We make several visits each year and would like to invite anyone who would like to accompany us on a five day trip (includes travel time) to see our school and basically love on our kiddos.
