Cru is an authentic, Christ-focused community of students who desire to know God, grow in their love for Him and tell others about Him, both here in Springfield and all over the world. Studying on the college campus, students hope to learn as much about life as they do academic subjects. Many questions revolve around God, forgiveness, love and what it all means for them. That is why we want to be
on all kinds of campuses, all over the world, sharing the good news of the gospel with students. If you look for Cru on campus, you’ll find a community of people who care deeply about one another and who are excited about helping others know Jesus. You’ll find opportunities to get involved in all kinds of ministry on campus and around the world. You’ll find people trying hard to reflect the love and grace they have experienced through Christ. We strive to build community on the college campus and have brought in events and speakers like The Maze at Missouri State University and Missouri State - West Plains. We value connecting community in the residence halls, Greek community, collegiate athletes, and commuter students by equipping students within these communities to lead small group Bible studies and reach out to their peers. Throughout the year, Cru will host events to promote servanthood, such as men hosting a dinner and entertainment to honor women. Students involved in Cru will also be given the opportunity to learn more about God and how to share about Him to others across the world during conferences and by applying for Cru Summer Projects during the summer.
