Momma Mia!

Mia is a 6-year-old 29 lb Corgi mix. Maybe some red heeler in there? She starts off fearful, but then instantly gives affection! She absolutely loves children, but she's a little tank, so small children could definitely be knocked over! She is potty trained and crate trained, and has puppy energy! She will require a canine sibling that is her energy level and size. Larger dogs tend to scare her and dogs who are too small could be harmed by her. I have no idea how she does with cats. She is a little bit of a resource guarder, so I feed her in a covered crate, which she will willingly get in on her own. She always wants to be with people, so a fenced-in yard may not be required so long as she is never let off leash. She may be a great running buddy!

Hey there, my name is Maggie and I would love to be your cuddly best canine friend! I'm glad to have a second chance after I was abandoned and left to roam alone in freezing temperatures for a week.

I'm a 2-3 year old 70ish lb German Shepherd mix. I am crate trained (bribe me with a treat and I'll do anything), house broken, love walkies, and LOVE car rides. I even know how to sit, shake, stay, and lay down, although I'm still learning to not jump (I love giving hello hugs).

My favorite thing to do is be your sidekick and cuddle. I would do great as an only dog or with another dog that is laid back. I can be particular with who I decide to be friends with sometimes.I am super sweet with kids, I just need a couple hours to get to know them. I would love a home with someone who is home most of the time. I am a quick learner and I know my furvever family will teach me all the great things! At bedtime I want to sleep along side my humans, as well as lounge on your couch.

I need a well-fenced yard so I can be adventurous, but safe (life on my own means I could possibly be a runner). I can't wait to meet my new family and spend the rest of my life loving on you!

Since coming to the rescue we have learned that Maggie has a condition called diabetes insipidus. This condition causes her to drink and urinate in excess. Hence the reason for her love of water. It is very easily controlled with only 3 pills of medication a day! She can also live just fine without it as what she has isn't like normal diabetes. We would encourage her new family to continue with the meds though because it really does make a difference. Please don't let this prevent you from meeting this awesome girl.

HELP!

We have an odd request. One of our amazing fosters is moving and we need to either get Bruno and Echo adopted (priority) or find a new foster(s) for them ASAP.

Echo and Bruno need a foster or forever home. Both are fully vetted. Adoptable or foster-able through 4 The Love of K9s . We are also open to rescue transfer but everyone we have contacted doesn't have room or foster homes either. All rescues are in the same boat right now unfortunately. 🤷

Both are Great Dane mixes.

Echo is a *blind* 8-month old Great Dane/catahoula puppy. He is mostly house trained. He’s great at finding his way around and uses his ears and nose in place of his eyes. He does well on the leash with some guidance and gets along well with other dogs.

Bruno is a 5-6 year old Heinz 57 mix listed as a mastiff/great dane. He is the sweetest most loving boy. He loves to snuggle and will have a whole conversation with you.

Both are kennel trained. They both love car rides and meal times.

HELP!

Echo is a *blind* 8-month old Great Dane/catahoula puppy. He is the white one. Echo was 45lbs last month when he was neutered and the vet says he will probably stay on the smaller side of great dane. He still has the puppy energy and is super sweet. He loves to cuddle and play in the back yard. He is mostly house trained but does still have an occasional accident so he wears male wraps when in the house. He’s great at finding his way around and uses his ears and nose in place of his eyes. He does well on the leash with some guidance and gets along well with other dogs.

Bruno is a 5-6 year old Heinz 57 mix listed as a mastiff/great dane. He is about 60/65lbs and full grown. He is the sweetest most loving boy. He loves to snuggle and will have a whole conversation with you. I mean look at his soulful eyes in his photo! He does well with direction and also walks well on a leash. He’s definitely a clingy boy once he gets comfortable and will follow you around the house while telling you all about his day. He will need a privacy fence and slow introductions with male dogs, he does get used to them but he has not shown any of mine aggression he just prefers to steer clear of them. He has never had an accident in the house.

Both are kennel trained, Bruno goes in his very willingly. Echo needs a little direction getting into his since he can’t see it. They both love car rides and meal times.

Chummy!

Introducing Chumlee! This 2 year old, 20lb Chi mix came from a hoarding situation and is now looking for a person to call his own. He is a very soft soul who is still learning how to trust and be a dog. He loves other dogs his size and will definitely need another dog in the home to continue to show him the ropes. Since he is still very shy, his perfect home would be a quiet home. He has blossomed in his foster home, even jumping onto the couch and giving a paw when he’s looking for cuddles ? He would make an amazing companion for a patient loving human and a fun friend for a pup his size.

Xander

When this foster mama had a space open up, she had no idea how lucky she would be welcoming Xander into her home! He was stuck in 'the pound' for months (yes, months!), and that is very tough for dogs, but this resilient guy came out of that situation sweet and well-mannered, a testament to what a great dog he is!

He quickly adapted to his new temporary home, already has a group of friends, is a wonderful car passenger, and politely and quietly hangs out wherever I am--as he literally is he's curled up under my desk while I type this!

Xander appears to be a shepherd/hound mix, around 5-6yo, is a healthy 55lbs, neutered, crate-trained, and with regular trips outside he doesn't have accidents in the house. He likes to take his time roaming through the yard when the weather is nice, so he will need a home with a fenced yard to keep him. He would be fine as an only or could have a sibling around 40lbs or bigger.

My name is Shadow, because I'm a shadow. I'm what people call a velcro dog and I LOVE getting attention from my humans!

The vet thinks I'm around a year old so I'm full of puppy energy. I'm about 60 lbs and seem to be an Anatolian Shepherd mix. Submissive personality and very shy until I know I can trust you, then my personality shines.

I love to play Chuck it, go for walks, play with dogs and people, and be a silly boy. I don't have a mean bone in my body, but if I'm scared I will cower down (and maybe ti**le) or do a Tasmanian devil spin to get out of the situation.

I do pretty well walking on a leash and love going for walks and exploring!

I'm food motivated and not very picky, so I'll share anything you don't like ?

I'm crate trained and love my own little room. I relieve myself outdoors when taken out regularly, but I also like to mark inside (particularly on Amazon boxes) sometimes so I wear a belly band.

I'm good with dogs and people and older kids. Probably not cats or other small critters as I like to chase (I've never harmed anyone).

A fenced yard where I can run free and play would be ideal, but I do well on leashed walks.

Brenda!

Hi hi hi! I'm a 1.5 year old heeler mix named Brenda and I'm looking for my furever family.

I was in dog jail for quite a long time waiting for someone to be able to spring me. My foster mom was finally able to and I repay her every day with puppy hugs and slobber kisses.

I really love to run to get my energy out, so a fenced yard is a MUST. I love and NEED toys, especially rubber balls and ones with treats in them. I get along with all people and animals. Honestly I've never met a stranger in my whole life, although I'm a little nervous of men (only at first).

I'm 25-30lbs and love super close snuggles. I'm potty trained (no accidents), crate trained, spayed, and totally vetted. I can't wait to meet you so fill out the app and make that happen.

Update: Teddy has been adopted

Meet Mr. Teddy

Mr. Teddy is a special, quirky little 10 year old guy with a whole lot of personality packed into a precious package. He may be yorkie/chihuahua/papillon mixed with bridge troll. He’s 13 pounds but don’t tell him he should probably be around 10 pounds.
He came into rescue when it was clear his previous person could no longer properly care for him. Since then, he’s shown that he gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids—though he does have a few… unique traits (see below!).
Mr. Teddy walks nicely on a leash and would do just fine in a home without a fenced yard, as long as his person is committed to regular leash walks and supervised potty breaks—no free roaming for this little guy.
Now, about those quirks…
At some point, Mr. Teddy seems to have been taught a “protect the human” game—and he takes his job very seriously. If he’s resting with his person and someone tries to approach or touch them, he may go into full-on tiny guardian mode. Don’t worry—there are no bites, just lots of dramatic “junkyard dog” sound effects and toothy theatrics. The funny part? As soon as it’s over, he’ll happily wag his tail and ask for scratches like nothing ever happened.
Mornings are another adventure. Mr. Teddy has perfected the art of the grumpy wake-up face, and he firmly believes belly rubs are a requirement before starting the day. Skip that step, and you may meet the tiny dog demon again!
Because of his occasional unpredictability when he feels the need to “protect,” a home with children would require attentive supervision.
