Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Kappa Sigma Zeta Chapter, Springfield, IL

Kappa Sigma Zeta Chapter was charted in Springfield, Illinois on February 18, 1981 by five distinguished ladies in the Springfield community– Patricia Crawford, Charlotte Johnson, Rev. Eula Alexander, Rosia Adams and Marietta C. Building on the legacy of serving all humanity, under our national program that is viable for the 21st Century. The Z-HOPE (Zeta Helping Other People to Excel through mind, body and spirit) Program has allowed us to donate countless hours to educate the public, assist youth, provide scholarships, support charities and legislation. Kappa Sigma Zeta service projects include Snowflake Mentoring Program, Dinner Theatre, Women Health Fairs, and work with the March Of Dimes, Other projects include AAUW-Expanding Your Horizons, Springfield Urban League Head Start Program, Sojourn House, BASUAH-HIVAIDS Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness. For 30 years Kappa Sigma Zeta Graduate Chapter has built a strong cohesive organization that positively impacts the lives of families within the Springfield Community. The Sorority's success is based on the depth of commitment, vision and confidence of its members. As a community conscious action-oriented chapter, our programs serve as a catalyst for involving parents, peers, teachers and business within the Springfield community.
