Welcome to whacky Wednesday

240 plates of sloppy Joe and lays chips rolled out to our patrons

One patron wanted to let those who cook. Cat and Mike H. That it was the very best sloppy Joe she’s ever had. Thinking we should then rename it. A Sloppy Mike. What do you think

Thank you so much Assurant Group. You all serve with smiles and good tidings. You all are Souper!!!

Just a side note. We will not tolerate arguing and or fighting at the soup kitchen. We are here to eat and get along. If you have issues with another patron please deal with it outside our building or you will be removed.

Hopefully next week we can dry out and start enjoying Gods sunshine 🌞

Happy Memorial Day Springfield Soup Kitchen Family.

159 steaming hot plates of meat loaf veg and Mac or mashed upstairs

God is enormous. Thank you so much Grace United Methodist church. You ladies rock !!! Thank you so much

Many new faces. Many more need to eat. That’s what we are here for on Monday and Wednesday dinner time meals 5-6pm

If you’re hungry. Stop by , find an empty seat Upstairs or downstairs. And we will serve you ,a meal ,salad and dessert. Come for our smiles. We have many to give away.

The Springfield Soup Kitchen was incredibly honored to be chosen by the students of Catholic Central to receive this years Magnified Giving Award. I had a wonderful visit with the students where I gave them a tour and we had a question and answer session. They had some excellent questions! After being chosen, we had a zoom meeting to hear about all their research and how they came to choose the winners. And finally, we concluded with a beautiful prayer service in Catholic Central’s chapel. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of this great project and really loved working with these students. They are an outstanding group of young people!

Springfield Soup Kitchen family

God is great!!!!

Our great friends from the Miami Valley Islamic Association. Donated bunches and bunches of food to SSK.

They have supported us for years helping us feed the hungry

Ted S (Alisa’s) brother was able to meet with the Imam.

My friends we are so thankful for your generosity.

Alisa and I are in the middle of a home move. Thank you Teddy for filling in

God is always giving, thank you again

Wow it’s a cold and dreary Wednesday

Mike H you my friend are Souper. I saw the new can opener you installed. Thank you to much

191 plates flew out of the kitchen tonight. Started out with twice baked spaghetti. If we are lucky there will be leftover thrice baked lol just kidding

Souper Todd and Alisa met with some very community minded high schoolers from CCHS

We love your caring and giving hearts. I’m going to report on this fully tomorrow

Makes Souper Todd proud to be a CCHS alum although it was 4 decades ago

Stay tuned all we have great reporting about these CCHS students and a special something from our Muslim friends.

Will get back tomorrow
