Rise and shine ☀️ it’s your favorite neighborhood petition queen 😜🤣 I have a petition to ban data centers in Springfield that desperately needs signed by registered voters within Springfield city limits. We need about 750 signatures to get it on the ballot this November. We have around 350 but we anticipate them throwing many of them away so we really need at least 1,000. It is only Nicole and I doing this. If you want to ban anymore data centers in Springfield, the time is now to sign this. It won’t change the one that is already here. But we can stop anymore from coming in. The commission only passed a 6 month moratorium. This petition will change the city charter forever if passed once on the ballot. This is real change by the people. 🙌

I also have petitions to ban data centers in all of Ohio so if you’re county, you can still sign. There’s a petition to ban property taxes and the mayor of Springfield. Sign one, sign all, it doesn’t matter to me. But if you’ve ever complained about any of these issues, please take the time to stop and sign. If you can’t today, there is a posting for the schedule for the rest of the week.

Today I’m at the old Frischs on Bechtle until 11. Family dollar on south limestone 1-3. Nicole will be at veterans park 2-4 unless it rains, in that case, she will be at the library. I will be at the Walmart on Tuttle parking lot 5-7. Have a great Sunday!

I’m heading to the farmers market downtown Springfield with petitions to ban data centers in Springfield, Ohio, and recall Rob Rue. I will be at the picnic tables until 11. Nicole will be at the Snyder park jubilee at 11. And I will be at Walmart on Bechtle 5-7 tonight. I’ll be parked between Walmart and speedway at the end of the Walmart lot in a silver car with signs on my doors. If it’s raining, I’ll be sitting in my car and come to you if you pull up.

At the farmers market for a bit before heading to the fair to get more signatures to ban data centers in Springfield.

If I’m being honest, I am tired. This is not what I want to be doing on a Saturday morning. I want to be at home relaxing with my family and getting in my pool I’ve only been in once this year because I’ve been too busy. I have spent countless hours advocating and spent my own money buying supplies, gas, tickets to get into events, and paying for a lawyer out of my own pocket. Most importantly, I am missing time with my children.

It is Nicole and I doing this work by ourselves. A few people have taken petitions to get friends and family to sign. That helps us more than you know!! She works full time and has young children. I have heath issues and can’t always do what I want when my body won’t cooperate. So signatures are slow going. If you would please consider taking a petition and having a few friends or family sign, that would be so helpful and we could get the amount of signatures needed. If we get 750 by the end of August we can get this on the ballot this November. Then it will be up to the people to vote and decide.
