Our intentional impact model for Coaching and Mentoring includes application of the following systems:
- We seek to intentionally impact, which we believe starts with building a genuine rapport and relationship, that then leads to trust and mutual respect.
- We model and foster appropriate behaviors and speak frequently to our core values: Unity, Discipline, Humility, Accountability, and Consistency. In addition, when we fall short on these values, we teach openness to feedback.
- We prioritize personal strengths while developing weaknesses; we do this out of the belief that strong mental health and gap closing begins with positivity.
- We build on the above and set growth goals for standards of greatness.
- We generate opportunities for personal development by way of Community welfare projects, rendering service needs, and fun-filled activities.
- We humbly seek and embrace collaborative relationships within the Community, because we firmly believe in the adage “it takes a village”.
- We understand life is beyond basketball, and that this great sport, in reality, is simply a vehicle, providing an opportunity at personal growth.
