Hi, all!
It’s time to buckle down & tie up loose ends as far as preparing for our rally & obedience trials this month—which means:
We are looking for volunteers!
The trial is Saturday, May 23-Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day Weekend)
As you know, these trials cannot go on without help, and we need committed volunteers for set-up, clean-up, stewarding, and extra hands in general.
Volunteers that work all day WILL BE FED LUNCH and you will also make me personally very happy 🙂
Stewarding is an excellent way to learn as you get to be involved in the process and often hear things from the judge’s point of view.
We will train everyone for every role! You do not need ANY prior experience or knowledge. You do not need to be a member of NWAKC or NSGRC to help.
Roles I need commitments to:
FRIDAY (starting at 11 AM):
Loading/unloading ring mats (heavy lifting)
General setup help (light to moderate lifting)
SATURDAY (starting at 8 AM for AM and PM trials)
Rally:
3 stewards (seated and light activity roles)
Open ring:
3 stewards (seated and light activity roles)
Utility Ring:
3-4 stewards (seated and light activity roles)
MONDAY (starting at 8 AM)
Rally:
3 stewards (seated and light activity roles)
Open ring:
3 stewards (seated and light activity roles)
Utility Ring:
3-4 stewards (seated and light activity roles)
Monday clean up:
Rolling and loading mats (heavy lifting)
General cleanup (light to moderate lifting)
The biggest need is committed stewards that can agree to work AM, PM, or both trials (all day) Saturday and the trial Monday.
Please reach out even if you can do a partial shift as this is still very helpful and we do need general extra hands.
If you are trialing, we will make sure you and your dog are prioritized with scheduling!
If you can help, please DM me or email me at [email protected] the following information:
Name
Role(s) you are interested in
Day/time you can work
Classes & trials you are competing in
Limitations (unable to lift heavy, unable to stand for longer periods, etc)
Thank you SO MUCH for being willing to help.
I am so excited we are gaining traction in NWA. You are a huge part of making it possible!
