LIGHT THE NIGHT...for Blood Cancer United!
We celebrated.....meeting our goal of $7500, honoring survivors & those we have lost, & making a BIG difference for patients and families in NWA!

This 2025 NWA Light the Night was also a celebration of our name change from LLS to BLOOD CANCER UNITED. The mission and events are not changing. With the new name and look, it will be clear that we are here for every blood cancer!

Another DRINK Beer / DO Good…SUCCESS!!

Funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society were raised with each drink sold on MON, SEP 15.

Team 🩵Lap the Lake raised a whopping $3253 over the weekend….from online, cash, checks, and with raffle proceeds toward our 2025 TEAM GOAL! WOW! 🤩

Many thanks to SKYWORTH (USA) for providing the Philips 65” Google TV as a prize. Dewayne Culmer was heard saying ‘I never win anything!’ BUT…we proved him wrong! He won the coveted television this year. CONGRATS, Dewayne!!

Next up? LIGHT THE NIGHT for LLS on
FRI, SEP 19, at Luther George Park in Springdale. Come by at 7:00pm for a short program, followed by a short walk for LLS at 8:00pm, AND…you won’t want to miss the COOL 😎 drone show afterwards!

We are counting on you...our friends...to put us over the finish line as Team Lap the Lake for LLS!

Come join the reunion at Ozark Beer to celebrate our support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There will be food, fun, and fellowship as always! The Crow's Nest food truck will hang out and provide a great meal for your family. We will have some homemade cookies, again! And, of course, we will have a great raffle (see picture) and an opportunity to donate to Team Lap the Lake for LLS. All donations between September 7 and 15 will count toward the raffle...1 chance for every $20 donated!

Then, our efforts will culminate at the NWA Light the Night on Friday, September 19. Please come....participate in a short program and short walk....it is such a meaningful experience! We will gather at Luther George Park in Downtown Springdale about 7:00 for a 7:30 program and 8:00 walk. We need to show Northwest Arkansas we are strong in numbers...and strong in our support of blood cancer patients and families.

Our hearts are full knowing that we have had your support over the last 8 years. Together we have made a difference in our community....raising awareness about blood cancers...and raising important funds to help our neighbors!

We hope to see Team Lap the Lake friends at DBDG at Ozark Beer Company....but on a NEW DATE...

🗓️ MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
(instead of the August date advertised previously)

LLS will receive $1 for every drink sold ALL day. We will gather from 5-8 PM. It will be a reunion of friends! Bring your family, enjoy supper from a local Food Truck and some homemade cookies! And as always, you will have an opportunity to donate to Team Lap the Lake!

The NWA Light the Night for LLS is nearing! It will be held at Luther George Park in Springdale on Friday, September 19. Please join us for the celebration and short walk...and help us have a good showing! We will share a link to register soon.

Light the Night in NWA was a WONDER!
* A wonder of red, gold, and white lanterns…❤️💛🤍shining in the night sky!
* A wonder of blood cancer patients and survivors sharing their stories and inspiration!
* A wonder of supporters celebrating the advances of blood cancer treatments!
* A wonder of a sky filled with drones sharing the Light the Night message!
* A wonder that we had an evening of beautiful weather!
* And it was a WONDER that 🩵Team Lap the Lake was named 🥇First Place in the Communities and School category...with a total of $14,453 raised for LLS (to date!)

🎉CONGRATULATIONS to Ryan Alston, winner of the ROKU 55" television! Ryan is a recent survivor of Lymphoma...a double win!

We would love for you to come take a short walk with us at Light the Night. The vision of lantern lights along the walk is truly inspiring! The event will be held on Friday, November 1, at the Promenade in Rogers (near Penney's) beginning at 5:30pm. The program will begin at 6:30 followed by a short walk. Team Lap the Lake will have a tent...so please come let us welcome you and share our thanks!
