🌟Community Spotlight: Building Our Pickleball Courts!🌟

I’d like to recognize two incredible people who were most instrumental in the build and completion of the Spring Valley pickleball courts — Joel Lehmkuhl of Fed Excavating, Inc. and Melissa Jane Gorsuch.

Joel served as the general contractor, laying out and implementing the plan while contributing equipment and countless hours to bring the courts to life. Jane was a committed, driving force behind the vision — passionately working to build a strong community through grant writing, fundraising, and project oversight.

A heartfelt thank-you also goes out to all who contributed to making this project possible — and a special thanks to Greg Brewer for generously donating the bench, to the SV Fire Department for pitching in when needed, and to Greene Giving for supporting the Spring Valley Enrichment Fund through technical assistance. ❤️🤍💙

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

The new pickleball court is coming together! Once the concrete cures, it’ll be painted, and then the fencing goes up. The perimeter is being leveled and prepped for seeding. It should be ready just in time for the holidays — perfect for all the adventurous pickleball players out there! Get ready to serve, smash, and rally on the new court soon! 🏓

We owe thanks to many people for helping us reach this point, but one person stands out for driving it forward with incredible professionalism: Joel Lehmkuhl, Jr., owner of Fed Excavating, LLC. Joel generously donated his expertise, contracting skills, materials, equipment, and valuable time to make this project possible.

Waning Gibbous and a long-arm pumper! Pouring the middle court and the walkway today. In 30 days, we paint.

We needed a long-arm cement pourer! Those in the trade call it a Pumper. The plastic around all the fence posts protects the black finish from concrete splatter. Volunteers put the plastic around the posts. Pickleball courts in Spring Valley OH is coming along!
