What a great night on the water with my new inspiration!! Meet Devin!😁 Devin is 24 years old and battles cerebral palsy and is intellectually disabled. As challenging as that diagnosis is, he does not let it define him! Devin is an absolute hoot to be around. 🤩 At 14 years old, he had to undergo surgery and was wheelchair bound for 6 months as he learned to walk again. Watching his strength and grit to go fishing and simply enjoy the outdoors after all he’s been through is truly inspiring. The boat was full of so many laughs and fish tonight! Thank you, Devin and your incredible parents, for teaching me to not take the small stuff for granted.

Meet Butch, he’s an avid outdoorsman who has battled some unfortunate health situations. Butch was forced into an early retirement due to a heart attack and quadruple bypass heart surgery. After that, diabetes took both his legs but didn’t take his passion for fishing. 👊🏻 Due to battling health obstacles, he hadn’t been out on the water in years but thanks to your donations, we were able to make it happen today!!! He took big fish of the morning with a 15.5” mega slab! Today reminded us of the hope that’s out there and we all left with smiles on our faces. Thanks Butch and Lola for a fun trip!

Today we honor the service and sacrifice of all who served. Our mission is to help disabled veterans reconnect with the outdoors through accessible fishing experiences that strengthen community, confidence, and well-being. Thank you to every veteran who has worn the uniform, freedom is not free and we are forever grateful for each and every one of you!

At Hooked on Hope, we believe that time in the great outdoors has the power to heal, inspire, and uplift. That’s why we’re dedicated to serving veterans, individuals with disabilities, and youth by providing guided fishing trips, outdoor adventures, and hunting experiences — all at no cost to those we serve.

Whether it’s setting the hook, stepping into the woods or a duck blind, or just simply taking a hike - we’re here to provide the opportunity and offer hope, healing, and connection through the beauty of nature and the thrill of the outdoors.
