People Helping People In Hernando County is an interfaith community established to provide food and basic necessities to needy individuals.

Spring Hill is open for training, classes and for other organizations to hold meetings. People Helping People is always seeking new partner organizations and meal donors; please call, email or message us anytime. Our Executive Director can be reached by messaging us through FB. We rely entirely on donations and grants from individuals, businesses, religious groups, clubs, and civic organizations to sustain our mission. Tony Claude's Care and Share II food drive this past Saturday brought in 1100+ pounds of food!! Amazing! Thank you, Hernando, for caring and sharing with your neighbors in need and special thank you to Tony and Tammy for putting this together!

Today 8/30, the Hernando DEM Club will once again be providing a delicious Sunday Blessings meal for those in need.

Yesterday, 8/26, 682 people in Hernando County did not go hungry.

Special thank you to the volunteers who tolerated the heat to make sure their neighbors had food to eat. Looking especially at you Capital One!

Tomorrow 8/26 is the Mobile Food Distribution at our HELP Center 1396 Kass Circle set to start at 10:30.

Calling out to our dedicated volunteers and any new folks interested in participating in helping to place a box of food into the vehicles of Hernando County neighbors in need. If you can help - 9a - 1p. Thank you!!

Today's 8/23 Sunday Blessings meal has been generously donated by Applebee's. Thank you for always caring about your community in need!

Many of you know about our Weekend Blessings program that provides 500+ kids each week with a bag of food enough for four meals to take home over the weekend. PHP is volunteer-driven and we have volunteers who help with packing the bags and/or delivering them to the appropriate place to be handed out to kids so they don't go hungry over the weekend.

We are currently looking for a volunteer to come in one day a week for a couple of hours to help manage the program. It just takes basic inventory and spreadsheet knowledge - but easy to learn (we'll show you how!)
