People Helping People In Hernando County is an interfaith community established to provide food and basic necessities to needy individuals.

Our core programs focus on feeding children, seniors, homeless, and families. To donate, visit phphernando.org. We provide food and basic necessities to people in Hernando County, Florida, who are hungry or struggling in today's difficult economic environment. Our HELP Center on Kass Circle in

Spring Hill is open for training, classes and for other organizations to hold meetings. People Helping People is always seeking new partner organizations and meal donors; please call, email or message us anytime. Our Executive Director can be reached by messaging us through FB. We rely entirely on donations and grants from individuals, businesses, religious groups, clubs, and civic organizations to sustain our mission. Tomorrow 5/27 is the last Wednesday of the month. Time to share the generous donation from Feeding Tampa Bay for those in need at PHP's mobile food distribution. 1396 Kass Circle. Cars generally start moving by 10:30.

Hope to see volunteers to assist in this event to help hungry people here in Hernando County. If you can volunteer - 9a - 1p or any time in between. Thank you!!!

PHP's HELP Center will be closed today Sunday 5/24 and tomorrow Monday 5/25. We will open again at 9a on Tuesday 5/26.

Today's 5/17 Sunday Blessings meal has been donated by Timber Pines Pickle Ball Group - very caring and generous people (and they sure know how to have fun!). 1396 HELP Center at 3:30 for those in need of food assistance.

We were able to use the delicious donation from The Residence at Timber Pines for our Tuesday lunch. Thank you so much. The community knows how delicious the food is from The Residence at Timber Pines. How fortunate so many were able to enjoy this culinary delight!

A huge thank you to the mail carriers with the USPS!
PHP was a recipient of more than 2 TONS of non perishable food items from the Hernando County community who participated in the Stamp Out Hunger drive and donated bags and bags of food. Thank you!

PHP will not be serving our Sunday Blessings meal today 5/10 so that our gracious volunteers may enjoy a Sunday off.

Our HELP Center will open Monday 5/11 at 9a.

It's hard to imagine living an unhoused life, isn't it? But try to imagine being a female living in the woods, walking on the street, staying in your vehicle. You may be subjected to an unwanted, bothersome, or dangerous approach by another person or wildlife.

PHP would like to give these women an airhorn as a simple form of possible deterence.

Many often ask how they can help. This is an easy way. You can find them in most box stores. We accept donations M-F 9 -2.

On this Mother's Day weekend - let's help the women.

Did you know PHP has an important volunteer opportunity this Saturday 5/9 from 2p - 6p? It's the annual USPS food drive and PHP hopes to receive a literal ton of donations from it.

We need folks at our 1396 Kass Circle HELP Center to receive the donations. Great opportunity for those who need volunteer hours on a Saturday (students?)! Please call 352-686-4466 to let us know you'll be here. Thank you!!!
