We are an interfaith community by and for the core of West Central Spokane. The word "abbey" is intentionally ironic since we don't have a building--yet. It reflects our understanding that God is not in a building; God is in the relationships that create a true community. We believe that every person has infinite worth. We believe that every person is both a giver and a receiver. To divide people

into "givers" and "receivers" keeps power differentials in place. We trust in the power of koinonia--radical community--to transform lives and make lasting change.
