On Tuesday, October 4th, just after 10am Vacaville Police Officers responded to the area of Brookdale Court for the report of an assault occurring on the Alamo Creek bike trail. When officers arrived they learned a California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) officer and clean up crew of inmates had intervened when they saw a women being stabbed by a male suspect on the trail. The suspect was detained by the CDCR crew.
Police provided life saving measures to the victim and she was transported to a local hospital where she is now reported to be in stable condition. The suspect, Damarco Ross Parker (18yo), was transported to Solano County Jail for a variety of charges including attempted homicide. We are incredibly thankful for the CDCR employee and inmates whose bravery undoubtedly saved the victim’s life.
