Meet Martha. ❤️

Martha is one of those cats whose story we wish she could tell us.

We don't know exactly how old she is.

We don't know everything she's been through.

We do know she's been passed around several times.

We know she recently had six kittens and spent her time being someone's mama.

And now?

She's finally getting the chance to learn how to just be Martha. 🥺

She's scared. She's unsure. She's still learning that she is safe.

But when you gently pet her...
she purrs.

That little purr tells us there's a sweet girl underneath all that fear who's just waiting to feel safe enough to come out.

For the first time, Martha has a safe place to land with one of our new Fosters.

Now we're hoping to find the person who will give her the patience, love and time she deserves.

She doesn't need someone to expect her to be perfect.
She just needs someone willing to let her become herself. ❤️

Her Point of View: Not Impressed. 😾

Our Point of View: JUMPING FOR JOY! 🎉

This spicy little number has thankfully had her last litter, although unfortunately, her last litter was a disaster.

This poor girl was far too young to be a mother and, sadly, rejected some of her kittens. The newborns developed fly-strike before they could be rescued and even though we were able to place them with an experienced bottle feeder, ultimately only one kitten ended up surviving. 💔

This is why we are so passionate about TNR.

If this cat had been spayed, she would never have had to endure the trauma of pregnancy and giving birth. Her kittens would not have suffered, and a rescue would not have had to spend precious, limited funds and countless hours bottle-feeding newborn kittens, only to lose all but one.

TNR isn't just about preventing more kittens from being born. It's about preventing suffering. It's about giving cats like her the chance to live healthy, happy lives without the risks and hardships of repeated pregnancies and litters.

Please do your part.

If a mama cat has shown up on your property, get her fixed! If you see unaltered tomcats roaming around your neighborhood, borrow a trap and get them neutered.

Unless we all step in to help, this crisis will never end and stories like this one will continue.

And yes, this snappy Siamese may not be impressed with us right now… but we sure are happy for her! 🎉

🚨 NANCY HAS HAD ENOUGH!! 🚨

Nancy has asked us to make this announcement on her behalf because she needs a moment.

As you can see, Nancy is currently EXHAUSTED from her demanding career as the official Two Girls and a Cat Trap “Spokes-Cat" and all her hard work and non-stop social media presence.

Nancy has been shouting her message from the rooftops, and she says she will continue to do so until there are no more kittens suffering on the streets:

📣“SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!” 📣

We agree, Nancy. We agree!!!!

P.S. Nancy is tired and overworked from carrying this entire operation and now requires compensation of belly rubs, compliments, and treats.

🚨 We really need fosters right now!!! 🚨

We have cats and kittens that need rescue placement, but we cannot help them without foster homes. Every day that passes without fosters means difficult decisions and fewer cats we can save.

If you have a spare bathroom, bedroom, or even just a little extra space and can foster, please reach out. Even a short-term foster helps!

And the good news… you don't have to be an expert, and you DON’T have to commit forever! We assist with medical care and provide guidance every step of the way.

We just need people willing to step up and give these cats a safe place to stay for a little while. You can SAVE a life without making a long-term commitment.
