Last Saturday, NJ Forest Watch had the privilege of speaking with residents at Sparta Day about the importance of protecting New Jersey’s public forests.
We are grateful for everyone who stopped by our table, shared their concerns, and voiced support for safeguarding our public lands for future generations.🙏
Now more than ever, our elected officials need to hear a clear message: New Jersey’s public forests are not for sale. They should not be managed for the benefit of private entities, corporations, or special interests. Our forests belong to the people of New Jersey and provide critical wildlife habitat, clean drinking water, carbon storage, recreation opportunities, and natural resilience in a changing climate.
🌳Public forested lands should remain public, protected, and managed in the best interests of the environment and the communities that depend on them.
Please contact your local and state representatives and let them know that New Jersey residents value healthy, intact public forests and expect them to be protected.
Together, we can ensure that our forests remain a legacy for generations to come.
