Community star science!

The Globe at Night program is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution by inviting citizen-scientists to measure their night sky brightness and submit their observations from a computer or smartphone.

You can find their very simple report form at app.globeatnight.org.

This report will ask you several questions:
When did you make your observations?
Where did you make your observations?
Did you use a Sky Quality meter?
How dark was the sky that night?
What were the sky conditions like?

A sky quality meter is not required for submitting data, and some graphics on the website will help you decide exactly how dark the sky actually was.

Citizen science data collection is important because it can provide information from locations that would otherwise not have data. We encourage you to try it out!

Have you used Globe at Night before? Let us know!

~

¡Te animamos a probarlo!

¿Has utilizado Globe at Night anteriormente? ¡Cuéntanos!
