There are always beginnings and endings but some are definitely harder than others. This is one I’ve been dreading for a long time.
Big Slam this weekend was not only Heat 08s last tournament but it was our last tournament coaching after 13 years!! We had quite a few girls missing so we pulled as many past Heat players and a few others to wrap it up.
In the earlier years Clint would try and talk Allyx into just playing with her sisters on our older team to make it easier on us so we weren’t stretched so thin and every time she would get so mad at him. I honestly can’t imagine not coaching these girls all these years. It was worth every minute and every penny!!
I’m going to miss their laughs, their fails, their falls (Lia😂), their wins, their talent, their friendships, their fight and their faces. So many memories we will have forever!!
Thank you to every past and present Heat 08 player for allowing me to coach you. I know I was hard on you and I know there were much better coaches than me you could have played for. I will forever be grateful for all the time spent on the dirt with all of you! Thank you also to all your parents and families who supported and sacrificed for you to play the sport you love all these years!!
I cannot wait to watch all of you go on in life on and off the field. I’m so confident in each one of you and the young ladies you have become over the years!! You will never know how thankful I am for you all and how much I love every one of you!!
