If you don't know about Ocean Cure you should! The work done by these volunteers and Kevin Murphy is unbelievable! They are looking for sponsors for one of the most fun events of the year! Give them a shout out if you are interested!

Good morning and happy Sunday. Ocean Cure is super busy this weekend delivering beach wheelchairs and walkers. If you see the truck driving around give us a foot with the horn. We have over 20 reservations out and it's gonna be another beautiful day. Meanwhile, you can help support us by buying your ticket today and please reach out if you’d like to sponsor the event and our 2027 season.

Well, this list is one I never thought I would end up on:

Baby Names Fading in 2026
Several names that once dominated baby registries are slipping off the charts in 2026, replaced by shorter, more modern, or globally inspired choices. These “old-school” names are fading due to shifting cultural tastes, meme culture, and a preference for fresher sounds

Names on the decline:

Gary – Once a staple for uncles and coaches, now rare and retro-sounding.

Linda – Popular in the ’50s–’60s, now a punchline in “Karen”-style memes.

Todd – Feels stuck in time, like answering machines and frosted tips.

Debra – The spelling has dropped sharply; Deborah still lingers.

Chad – Meme culture has shifted its image, making it less parent-friendly.

Janet – Polite and responsible, but not trendy for 2025 babies.

Randy – The sound doesn’t land well in modern naming.

Brenda – ’90s teen drama staple, now fading.

Kurt – Short and stern, not fitting modern tastes.

Sheila – Once common, now mostly a grandmother’s name.

Ronald – Blame Ronald McDonald or presidential fatigue.

Barb – Barbara is dropping, and Barb is going with it.

Craig – Oddly sharp and unappealing to Gen Z and younger millennials.

Cathy – Cute in cartoons, but not catching on for 2025 babies.
