The friendships I have with other le***ans are such meaningful reminders of everything a le***an is and everything a le***an can be. When I spend time with my friends, I remember how le***ans take up space. That we work in public-facing jobs, make homes wherever we go, and engage with our communities and communities beyond us. We are public school teachers and flight attendants and writers and plumbers and students. We have complicated, loving, traumatizing, and fulfilling bonds with our first families.
