We have very exciting news!

Ablaze Mission has hired a new full-time missionary – Donna Heid.

Ever since a profound encounter with God's love during a retreat in high school, Donna has been guided by a deep conviction to share the love of Christ with others. Through her involvement with Campus Ministry during college, the Lord inspired Donna to pursue ministry as a full-time career.

Donna first pursued this call by serving as a SPIRITUS Missionary in Wisconsin. Seeking a deeper understanding of the faith, Donna then earned a Master of Arts in Theology by completing the Echo program through the University of Notre Dame. Following her studies, Donna traveled abroad to serve as a NET Ireland missionary and team supervisor. Since then, she has come to recognize her call to follow the Lord as a lifelong missionary disciple.

Looking back on an incredible weekend this past May discovering our God-given missions! ✨

At our Called & Gifted Workshop, we dove deep into the charisms given to us at Baptism and learned how the Holy Spirit equips each of us to be a unique channel of God's love, truth, beauty, and mercy.

Thank you to all the young adults who joined us at St. Therese Little Flower Church for the rich discussions and beautiful moments of discernment. We are still praying for you and can’t wait to see how you continue using your gifts to set the world ablaze! 🔥🕊️

A huge thank you to Matt Chilcote for opening up his home and hosting an incredible Bonfire & BBQ on August 8th! We had such a great evening reconnecting, sharing laughs, and enjoying great food together. Shoutout to everyone who came out and made it such a special night!

On Memorial Day we gathered together for the annual Ablaze Mission Memorial Day Hike & BBQ as one of our Ablaze Community events! We spent time at St. Patrick’s County Park to catchup with each other, enjoy some BBQ and desserts, and play some volleyball! We also took the day to remember those who have served our country and the gift of our faith that has been defended by many of our brave brothers and sisters. When you were baptized, you were given gifts of the Holy Spirit (charisms) that enable you to be a channel of God’s love, truth, beauty, and mercy for others. Discovering your charisms is key to living out your God-given mission and vocation in life.

Called & Gifted is designed to help you learn about charisms and lead you through the process of discerning your gifts and call.

The workshop includes video presentations, small group discussion, and a spiritual gifts inventory.

Cost: $30. Registration is required by May 24.
