Just a few of the cats we have helped recently! We get so busy with on the ground work we forget to document sometimes 😂
Every cat here (except for kittens, Saving All Species has so many South Amboy kittens ready for their homes!) has been fixed, vaccinated, and returned to their colonies and loving caregivers. 😻
🤔🐾 Did You Know? ❤️
• One unspayed female cat and her offspring can contribute to hundreds of kittens over several years. Spaying just one cat creates a ripple effect that impacts generations.
• Ear-tipping (the small notch on a cat’s left ear) is the universal sign that a community cat has already been spayed or neutered and vaccinated.
• TNR doesn’t relocate cats. Healthy community cats remain in the area they know while future litters are prevented. Over time, colonies naturally become smaller and healthier.
• Neutered male cats often spray less, wander less, and fight less. With reduced hormone-driven behaviors, they’re also less likely to travel long distances searching for mates, helping keep them safer and healthier. 🐾
