🐾 💔A Family Heard the Cries of the Babies She Left Behind 💔🐾
Just days ago, these four kittens were crying beneath a deck in Barto, PA, waiting for a mama who was never coming home.🥺A very real scenario we see far too often.
⚠️‼️The family who found them had witnessed a nursing mother cat being struck by a car just days earlier. They knew she had babies hidden somewhere, but they had no idea where. Four to five days later, hungry and desperate, the kittens finally began venturing out from beneath the deck, crying for help.💔
🙏Thankfully, someone was paying attention.🙏🩵
❥The family carefully caught each kitten and brought them inside before beginning the search for help. The woman who found them, a local teacher, reached out hoping to find the right solution for these babies. After speaking with us, she was relieved to learn that kittens this young need specialized care and that rescue was the safest place for them.
🆘Because one of our incredible new fosters recently opened up a small room in their home, we were able to say yes when this family desperately needed help. It may seem like a small space, but in rescue, a spare room/bathroom can mean the difference between life and death for vulnerable kittens. Every foster home, no matter how large or small, creates room for us to save more lives in our feline community.
🐾🐈⬛Against the odds, all four babies are doing remarkably well. They are playful, curious, affectionate, and already showing off their unique little personalities. One tiny orange kitten is noticeably smaller than the others and likely didn’t have much time left if help hadn’t arrived when it did.
While their mama’s story ended in heartbreak, her babies’ story is only beginning.♡
Because a family cared enough to stop, pay attention, and take action, and because a foster family opened their home, these four little survivors now have full bellies, warm beds, toys to play with, siblings to snuggle, and a future filled with possibilities.💞
Sometimes rescue starts with something as simple as noticing. Sometimes it starts with saying yes to fostering. Either way, lives are saved.💓
