The past week has been a difficult one for the Boucherie Festival family.

Last week, we said goodbye to longtime festival volunteer Robert Nichols, who spent countless hours helping prepare for the festival each year and was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and family member to several people within our association, making this loss especially personal for so many of us.

Yesterday, we also learned of the passing of longtime Gonzales Jambalaya Festival Association President Wally Taillon. Wally leaves behind a lasting impact on the festival community and was always a friend and supporter of the Boucherie Festival. His passion for the festival community and the friendships he built over the years will not be forgotten.

We are grateful for the time, support, and friendship both of these men gave to our festival and our community over the years. We ask that you keep their families, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
