Unfortunately, Mother Nature's plans don't always align with ours. 🌧️ Although we're disappointed that Somerville's Green Fair won't be happening on Saturday, we're looking forward to hosting our friends at the Somerville NJ Environmental Commission at the market opening day next weekend (Sunday, May 3)! We're getting ready for the big day tomorrow! On Sunday, Nov 23, volunteers will host the 58th annual FREE Thanksgiving dinner 🍽️ at PeopleCare Center For Nonprofits, Inc. (120 Finderne Ave, Bridgewater) from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for families and individuals in need.

Chef Joe and his kitchen crew have been busy roasting turkeys, making mac & cheese, and preparing lots of tasty side dishes, while our fabulous volunteers are setting the tables, putting together our food & essentials pantry, and stocking our coat & winterwear room with warm clothes for kids and adults.

Everything will be given away to dinner guests tomorrow. Please join us or spread the word to anyone in need of a hot meal, a warm coat, hygiene items, and socks. No registration is required, just show up and we'll be ready to serve you.

If you'd still like to make a donation (of money, nonperishable food, coats, or hygiene items), stop by before noon tomorrow and we'll make sure it finds a good home. 🤗

💛 Our Winterwear & Essentials Drive is in full swing until Nov 17! 💛 During this challenging time, many people in our community need food, hygiene items, socks & winter clothes. You can help by bringing:

You can also stretch your SNAP dollars further with extra Market Bucks! Visit the SAFE: Somerville Alliance for Food Education tent in the middle of the market. For every $1 charged to your EBT card, you get:

✔️$1 SNAP Coins (SNAP-eligible items only)
✔️$1 Good Food Bucks Coins (SNAP-eligible items only)
✔️$3 Market Bucks Coins (use at most market vendors)

And if your EBT card is empty, you can still get a FREE $10 voucher for fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs at the market this Sunday! **Only available to those with a zero balance on their EBT card, as long as funding lasts. First come, first-served.**
