NOW OPEN: The Raymond Nicholson II “Spirit of Scouting” Eagle Scout Scholarship

The Muskingum Valley Council, Scouting America, and MVC NESA proudly announce the opening of applications for the Raymond Nicholson II “Spirit of Scouting” Eagle Scout Scholarship, honoring the memory and legacy of Eagle Scout Raymond Nicholson II of Troop 542, whose life embodied courage, adventure, and the unbreakable spirit of Scouting.

This $500 annual scholarship celebrates an Eagle Scout who lives the Scout Oath and Law long after the Eagle badge is earned, a young man or woman whose story reflects what it truly means to “Be Prepared” and to live the Spirit of Scouting in everyday life.

📜 How to Apply:
Applicants must:
🦅 Be an Eagle Scout from the Muskingum Valley Council
🎓 Be a high school Senior headed to further education OR currently enrolled in a vocational, college, or university program
📝 Submit a one-page essay titled “What Scouting Means to Me”
📸 Include a photo in Scout uniform and a short Scouting biography

💵 One $500 scholarship will be awarded to help further the recipient’s education, because the legacy of Scouting doesn’t end with the rank of Eagle; it begins there.
