And just like that....our final in-person public event of the year has ended! It was a beautiful gathering of activists, artists, buddhists, campaigners, teachers, landworkers, healers and more. A time to resource and connect in order to go out once more to work for the well-being of the world in all the ways we do that.

If you want to come back next year then pop this date in your diaries - The Green Earth Awakening 2027 will run from 8-12 September 2027. We will announce on our usual platforms when bookings open.

We are fundraising to create a Buddhist community that will nurture a resource and events centre on 70 acres of land. Our goal is to support the practical exploration of answers to the important questions of our time. We aim to build sustainable, connected local economies and communities through ecological restoration, incubating social innovation, courses, and more. We’ll also continue to run our successful events and enterprises, including the Buddhafield Festival and Buddhafield Cafe.

Buddhafield Base will inspire change, connection and simplicity to support the well-being of the planet and its inhabitants. It is a bold way to live sustainably together while addressing the essential causes of our present crises. It will create opportunities for meaningful work, creativity and imagination, community, and care for land and ecology through a sense of place, purpose and belonging.

So we're crowdfunding for the final bit of the money needed, we have already gathered in so much funding in a variety of ways but now we're asking for your support with the final bit!

Really delighted to welcome Marcus Decker back to Green Earth Awakening with his musical tale "Hanging by a Thread"

This is the story behind one of the most audacious protests in UK history. Early in the morning of 17 Oct 2022, two men climbed the QEII bridge over the M25 motorway.

Hours later the world watched as they unfurled a banner proclaiming JUST STOP OIL. They hung there in the air for 36 hours; two specks suspended in the sky. Back on the ground, the state was determined to harshly punish the pair.

This is a musically infused tall tale; of ups and downs, and of trying to find a way through to survive.

He says - "My work as a story teller builds on my many years of experience as a singer and musician. My creative life is interwoven with my commitment and experience as a social justice and environmental defender.

I've taught in 8 countries, performed in 31 and hitchhiked through 48. I've been on stage and led workshops at many festivals including Green Earth Awakening."

After training in Waldorf Education and art therapy, the Children's Area Co-ordinator Julan has been teaching felting for many years. She loves to inspire children to make their own animal, badge or picture using coloured wool and felt.

Felting is an activity many people enjoy; parents are invited to join in.

This year, the children’s space will offer magical, creative felting, clay and mosaic workshops. Alongside this Forest school activities will connect us to the natural environment of the woodland around the festival. Children will be invited to play drama games and create their own stories. They will perform shows to audiences.

Parents and friends are welcome to come and play along, assist, offer workshops or join in with the activities. Musicians can come and play music, add to the theatre shows and entertain us.

Once more this year, we will offer the children a delightful space to enjoy the festival. See you all there ♥️

In the children's area this year Anya will be offering mosaic workshops. Using natural materials, your children can make pendants and tiles to decorate your homes. Every year in the children's space we create a clay village with houses, roads, animals and whatever the imagination can bring.

More broadly the children’s space will offer magical, creative felting, clay and mosaic workshops. Alongside this Forest school activities will connect us to the natural environment of the woodland around the festival. Children will be invited to play drama games and create their own stories. They will perform shows to audiences.

Parents and friends are welcome to come and play along, assist, offer workshops or join in with the activities. Musicians can come and play music, add to the theatre shows and entertain us.
